Useful book, supplementary material unavailable
Like its predecessor, "Feeling Good," this book goes beyond fluffy pop psychology. It gives you some concrete cognitive behavioral therapy tools for improving your relationships.
That said, I am very displeased that it is labeled "unabridged," but refers to supplementary content, such as a questionnaire for evaluating your satisfaction in a relationship, that is apparently unavailable. To me, the book is less valuable without access to this content, hence the three-star rating.

Have already put into practice the advice shared in this incredible read. Super applicable! I've been in a bit of a slump emotionally and am now realizing the importance of how you frame things and share your emotions in conversation. I had already been doing this, but not with the pazaz found here! Gonna consume it over and over again until it becomes second nature. Thank you for investing this knowledge into my life.

review of book
there were great ideas and help with words I didn't know how to say things and ideas about my behavior I wouldn't have recognized otherwise. I didn't enjoy at all the bad language. I am not happy to try to listen to a book that would help me but has language that is just what I don't want put in my brain. Seems the same idea can be put across without the use of bad language.

Repetitive but very informative
I found this book very informative until I reached around chapter 20. after that it is mostly just exercises and practicing that ask you to use pen and paper to make lists and complete tasks. even practice with partners. It gives a nice breakdown of how different things you say can effect the outcome of a conversation and how you can reach the conclusions you want in an argument and reduce tension while helping you create a closer bond in your relationships.

Some good insights about relationships.
Although I enjoyed parts of the book I found very annoying the athours unnecessary clasification of feelings and their responses by the use of numbers and letters. It made me feel as if I was in a math class, instead of listening to a book about feelings.
