Wish I had read this book 20 years ago!
The author is so way ahead of her time. In light of the fact that this book was produced 20 years ago, the information it relays is now being proven over and over today. Raw milk is now outlawed for sale... and we let this happen. Hopefully this can be changed as more folks discover the health benefits of fermentation.

I've listened to it a couple of times. Half of it is educational the other half is a cookbook. They don't read the recipies out loud but I believe there is a pdf. I got the hard copy. I love the recipies so far.

Flies in the face of Big Food
This book, if read and absorbed, will change your life. I like to listen with the physical book nearby, so I can run over and highlight parts of it that stand out to me. If you are a fan of governmental agencies, and believing what they tell you is good for you, this information will sound outrageous. Stick with it, and you will notice that it rings true to your intuition. No more needs to be said.

A Must For Functional Medicine Practitioners
Plenty of info on ancient wisdoms and relevant topics. A times a big lengthy, but overall is a great resource. No wonder day by day we as a planet get sicker and sicker...the influence of poor nutrition covers all areas of life, from energy and physical performance to brain health and endocrine disorders.

Good book to read and have as a reference
The book covers a lot of topics about dieting, research and traditional diets from around the world. It is good to read something which does not just repeat whatever is the fashionable trendy diet at the moment. There are some controversial topic regarding red meat and saturated fats, but the author has pretty convincing arguments if you read it with an open mind and don't follow some dogmatised diet e.g. veganism and are willing to hear different arguments. There is a lot to learn from this book even if you don't agree with everything.
