Story
In Cancer and the New Biology of Water, Thomas Cowan argues that this failure was inevitable because the oncogene theory is incorrect or at least incomplete and based on a flawed concept of biology in which DNA controls our cellular function and therefore our health. Instead, Dr. Cowan tells us the somatic mutations seen in cancer cells are the result of a cellular deterioration that has little to do with oncogenes, DNA, or even the nucleus.

Story
There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing. Yet, as a species, humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly, with grave consequences. Journalist James Nestor travels the world to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. The answers aren’t found in pulmonology labs, as we might expect, but in the muddy digs of ancient burial sites, secret Soviet facilities, New Jersey choir schools, and the smoggy streets of São Paulo. Nestor tracks down men and women exploring the hidden science behind ancient breathing practices.

Story
Thanks to environmental pollutants, iodine deficiency has become a worldwide epidemic. Everybody knows pollutants cause cancer. What they don't know is that these pollutants cause a deficiency that can make us sick, fat, and stupid. Iodized salt - supposedly a solution to iodine deficiency - is actually a nutritional scam that provides a false sense of security. The Iodine Crisis explains how we became so deficient, then shows the time-tested solution to reversing many conditions.

World renowned scientist, Dr. Gerald Pollack, takes us on a fantastic voyage through water, showing us a hidden universe teeming with physical activity - providing simple explanations for everyday phenomena, which you have inevitably seen but not really understood. Have you ever wondered how do clouds made up of dense water droplets manage to float in the sky? Why don't your joints squeak as they rub together? Why do you sink in dry sand, but not in wet sand? Pollack uses a recent and fundamental scientific finding - EZ water - to help explain these and many other head-scratchers.

We all know the dangers of sugar and salt: but the danger attributed to the second white crystal has more to do with getting too little of it, not too much. Too little salt can shift the body into semi-starvation mode, causing insulin resistance, and may even cause twice as much fat to be absorbed for every gram that's consumed. Too little salt in certain populations can also actually increase blood pressure as well as resting heart rate.

Eye Opening, Essential Information
I've started putting Dr. Batmangelidj's suggestions to use recently and will report back the impact periodically. I am excited to read his book on Back pain and Rheumatoid arthritis to continue developing understanding of the effects of dehydration in the body.

Should be compulsory
Great book! I've learned a lot and I would somehow make it compulsory for everyone in order to stay as healthy as long as possible.

Such a simple answer to so many health problems
I’ve been researching science and health topics for years. I was literally stunned by the information in this book. Every claim the author makes is supported by clearly explained facts about exactly how the body works in each instance. While listening to this book I felt as though I had uncovered a secret manuscript that had been hidden away from all of us. How could we all not know such basic information to keep ourselves healthy? EVERYONE should read this book!

Extremely important, yet medically ignored info
One has to ask themself why such a simple solution to so many prevalent health issues has been overlooked, or even worse, hidden from medical professionals.

Informative
This information book was very well presented. It was written by a very educated man who kept the information understandable rather than talking over the listener’s head. Great information shared.
