Publisher's Summary

One day Raymond Francis, a chemist and graduate of MIT, found himself in a hospital, battling for his life. The diagnosis was acute chemical hepatitis, chronic fatigue, multiple chemical sensitivities, and several autoimmune syndromes, causing him to suffer fatigue, dizziness, impaired memory, heart palpitations, diarrhea, numbness, seizures, and numerous other ailments. Knowing death was imminent unless he took action, Francis decided to research solutions for his disease himself. His findings and eventual recovery led him to conclude that almost all disease can be both prevented and reversed.

In Never Be Sick Again, Francis presents a seminal work based on these findings—a revolutionary theory of health and disease: there is only one disease (malfunctioning cells), only two causes of disease (deficiency and toxicity), and six pathways to health and disease (nutrition, toxins, psychological, physical, genetic, and medical). This remarkable book answers these questions: What is health? What is disease? Why do people get sick? How can disease be prevented? And how can it be reversed? It will teach listeners, in one easy lesson, an entirely new way to look at health and disease with an approach that is easy to understand yet so powerful that they may, indeed, never have to be sick again.

Providing a basic understanding of health and disease, this book takes the mystery out of disease. It provides listeners, no matter what their present physical condition, with a holistic approach to living that will empower them to get well—and stay well.

Full of misinformation.

Saturated fats are bad, while whole grains are healthy. On this advice the population got metabolically sicker including fatty liver and type 2 diabetes. Saturated fat is rigid and that causes arteries to become rigid? By that logic we couldn’t eat any fruit or grains. By that logic vegetable/seed oils would be healthy. At least I didn’t have to pay for this book. For better info read The Big Fat Surprise by Nina Teicholz.

Amazing Book

The book collects and details all the excellent practices for good health. Something that will take huge effort and time to get without this book. I find it EXTREMELY helpful and beneficial. The book is like a reference you can get to multiple times until you get your daily routine in order.

The author is an anti vaccine.

The author cited a lot of questionable data. The book felt more like somebodies theory verses an actual health book.

Life changing knowledge

This book will wake you up. It has change my like and the way I see the Medical system and even out public education forever. I have shared this book with everyone in my contacts wether I remembered who they were or not because at the the end of the day it doesn’t matter when it comes to Sharing knowledge on this level of understanding. 5 stars aren’t enough to rate this book properly. A true must read...We need to petition to have this added to all public schools curriculum.

Interesting

Very thought provoking. I really liked the book and the narrator. It's a shame what the government medical complex has come to. Only thing that could have been better is exactly how to buy products and food that are healthy and safe without going through the website that they are pushing. Will surely implement some of the suggestions.

Too much "I did this to help others"

I thought the book would give me ideas, but in order to get ideas I had to wade through long narratives about the author helped people. Nothing new in this text.

Unadulterated, unscientific garbage.

According to the first couple of chapters, the author would have you believe that his approach to healthy living means exposure to something like the ebola virus would not harm you. It is truly sad such a valuable topic as healthy living was treated with this kind of superstitious ignorance. This book is a travesty.

Lack of Peer reviewed data

This book has some reasonable health information and many things that I agree with but I will take most of the information in this book with a grain of salt because of the following issues. The issues that I have with this book are
1. There is a lack of peer reviewed data to substantiate his claims.
2. He is anti-vax; He quoted anti-vax mis-information from the conservative anti-vax AAPS (Association of American Physicians and Surgeons). By not vetting his data in this case causes me to not believe any of his claims.
3. He promotes the use of his own BH products claiming that his products are substantially better than other brands without any data to substantiate his claims.

A very dangerous book

First I really struggled to get through this book since so much of it was repetition. It is poorly written going from anecdotes, to advice and back to anecdotes all in the same sentence. You never know what you're going to get.

But more importantly this book is full of assumptions and personal experience stated as fact. The author sometimes conveniently forgets to mention sources and draws causation conclusions where only correlation is proven. Plus the fact that he refutes himself at times. For example saying that by eating healthy like honza's or people in older times you should be able to never get sick. But then he still wants you to buy lots of huge vitamin supplements. Why are those needed if the honza's don't need them?

However I can save you some time and give you the helpful advice of this book in as short as possible: eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, but don't forget meat. Also get some exercise and get out of the house a bit. Plus give yourself opportunities to be happy and take full advantage of them.

So this is what I learned from this book. A very valuable lesson. But I don't recommend anyone to read it or listen to it.

A must have book - blueprint plan and execution for long healthy life

Sincere efforts made by the author and bald assertive criticism to commonly understood basic towards how we understand health and fight and cure disease and most important how to prevent illness.
The idea of taking lessons learned from long lived people from various spots in the world and applying it in our daily life style is bold and unique. The most important thing that it works and make sense.

Many thanks Mr Raymond and your deserve an Noble prize for what you are doing for humanity

Interesting - I’ll never follow all his suggestions as it would be very difficult to do. Would love my sugar junkie wife to read/listen to this.

Don’t bother

This was obviously written by someone who wants you to go down a fearful rabbit hole of risks we take with everything we eat or consume in/on our bodies.

Narration was ok - great for insomnia, but was equal to the prose.

Content was dire. We all know about the need to eat less sugar etc but if you think about it, in the 1700s there wasn’t any additives and artificial food stuffs and people were getting ill then!!

This book was a waste of my time. I didn’t finish it to the very end.

Final thought: there are better health books out there that don’t expect you to give up everything you enjoy. Avoid this one.

The best so far.

This book is arguably the best yet easy health book I have ever come across. It has made me to understand health and it is, indeed, a choice. The difficulty, though, is how to get some of the elements of the pathways to compliment ones health. The appendixes to this book help make this reasonably easier to navigate, though.

The irony is that this is a book I did not pay for. I had it free as a loyal subscriber of Audible. I have since, though, purchased the hard copy and recommended the book to a few of my network who are also recommending the same to others.
it is a MUST have health book.

Good but repetitive and dark

The author promotes that their is only 1 disease: cell malfunction; 2 causes: deficiency and toxicity and 6 pathways to health: nutrition, physical, toxin, mental, genetic and medical. He explains each of this concepts with real life examples and a lot of “we are all doomed” attitude. I have mixed feelings about this as I found quite repetitive (trying to condition us to believe it by constant repetition), extremely negative quite often (we’re all going to die a painful, diseased death because of our modern way of life) and he often proclaimed his believes as facts without research backing. On the positive side: A good part of what was said makes sense and was backed by research, however apart from moving to the mountains to life in solitude, the actions we can take are eat a health, moderate diet consisting of mainly plant based, whole foods, organic produce;!completely eliminate sugar, flour, dairy and coffee from your diet. Include constant and different types of exercises to you daily routine; sleep well, sun bath, de stress and be happy, have positive thoughts and believe on yourself and your healthy body. Stay away from chemicals and reduce technology use as much as possible. All was said before in a different way.

What a game changer. Awesome book and wish I knew about it sooner. I knew half of what was explained already but I still learned so much. I am now on the pathway and can't wait to see the changes in my body. Love this book!

the last health book you need to read

loved it. I've read a lot of health books but none have nailed it quite as well as this. it was published some 20 years ago so some points are out dated but the principles are there nonetheless. worth every second of your time.

So great

I got so much out of this book! I’ve spent decades sick with different things that the doctors & specialists couldn’t explain, & thousands of dollars trying to get out of pain & into health. He goes into so much detail about what could be making your health deteriorate. Things you’d never think of. Certainly not anything the doctors have ever mentioned (I suspect they don’t know). It was so good, I’ll need to get the paper copy so I can highlight & put in page markers. It left me feeling very hopeful.
