Publisher's Summary

Commercial Real Estate is not an industry for the feint-hearted or rejection-sensitive. The barriers to entry are incredibly low, saturating the industry with unqualified people while the top producers hold the keys to the kingdom. It can make competition fierce.

What can a potential young broker just starting out do? In this audiobook, Patrick Kennedy describes methods by which a broker will be able to find out if this is a fight worth fighting. He will give you the tools in which you can keep up your motivation and not sweat the random events that may fool you into thinking you are off-course. Ultimately, he will provide you with a framework to hold yourself accountable to the thing that matters most: building your book of business. The work may seem unsexy, challenging and glamourless, but following it will certainly provide you with the best chance of success you have in the inherently foggy world of commercial real estate brokerage.

Total bollox!

Now don't get me wrong, as I'm very positive and always the optimist I managed to pick out a couple of good points in this book but had I wanted a book on mindset, goal setting and weight loss I wouldn't have picked this one.

Little to no content whatsoever for practical and usable advice on day to day activities to help you as a Commercial Broker. This was a total flop, if your a personal looking for value and specific inside knowledge that you can use to build your book.. This is not it.

Hard to Understand Narrator & 95% Fluff & 5% CRE

What would have made Thriving as a Commercial Real Estate Broker better?

Better Narrator, get rid of all the fluff and ra-ra I have already read think and grow rick, rich dad poor and every Tony Robbins book. I hate when you name a book specifically about a subject than spend 90% of the book telling me how to think. Thats not what I got this book for, it was utterly a waste of time

Would you ever listen to anything by Patrick Kennedy again?

Not a Chance

How could the performance have been better?

Narrator was impossible to understand at 1.5x, at normal speed accent was unbearable to listen to. Acoustics was horrible, could tell they were switching rooms and parts sounded as if it was recorded on an iphone probably.

What character would you cut from Thriving as a Commercial Real Estate Broker?

All of them! What do Monkeys in Lab using software programs have to do with Commercial Real Estate. Give Me a Break, that would be far fetch for Steven Speilberg to pull together.

Any additional comments?

Maybe the worst book that had this specific of a title that i've ever read!

Very little useful content

It was torture to listen to. The book was full of more diet and nutritional information then real estate content.

Excellent insight

Really enjoyed this book, applicable outside of commercial real estate sales. The author gives a psychological assessment of why somebody would want to be in commercial RE, the book has some neat exersises to do to discover your inner values to shape your career (downloaded the Kindle version - inexpensive - for the appendix he mentions), and then breaks down sales of any kind into a simple methodology. The methodology isn't information most people have not heard but is explained well. This was a fun read/listen.

Great selling book

This book summarizes willingness and actions, which need to be taken consistently to achieve one's goals. It also talks about the futility of 'goal assassins' and other distractions leading to failure. I've enjoyed it.

More mindset less real estate.

Good story but it just felt like another mindset book rather than any relevant guidance to commercial real estate success.

Just another generic motivation book

Nothing really to do with commercial real estate. I was expecting a more specific content
