Changed my Meditation. 100% yes! Read it!

I always knew that I wanted to do meditation but it felt so tedious and every time I would go to sit down and meditate I would be worried that I wouldn’t do it right, I didn’t have the right body position, or I didn’t have enough time or or or or or.... since reading this book I have been meditating consistently and without judging each individual meditation I have noticed an overall difference in my mood and outlook outside of my meditations. Another thing I really loved about the book is it gives me a lot of background/knowledge on the brain and why certain things in meditation work or cause you to overthink things. All in all it is made my meditation experience so much more enjoyable and something that I feel confident in now. If you’re curious about meditation I would 100% recommend reading this book!!

Great place to start for beginning meditators

Being a daily meditator and using this technique for almost three years, I feel like my practice is enriched from listening to this book. I also tell people frequently about the benefits of meditating, but can't really explain my practice because it can't be learned from a book. Light Watkins does a wonderful job of teaching about the technique as well as gives a simple meditation to get people started, but then also explains why they need to explore further and find a teacher to truly get the most out of the practice. Happy meditating, future readers, and hope you experience "Bliss More" after reading this great book!

Best Book on meditation I’ve ever read/listened to

Having been an on/off meditator for decades, this book cleared up many misconceptions I’d had about the reasons for and process of meditating. Within the first couple days of following the authors guidelines I found a new level of contentment,optimism and yes bliss....and an unprecedented motivation to do the practice not just every day, but twice a day. Can’t recommend enough, or give enough copies to others. Thank you Light Watkins.

Helpful

I love this book. His instructions on proper meditating are as close to having live lessons with him. The beauty is, you can relisten to the instruction part as often as you have to. Very helpful for me.

Life-Changing

This book is incredible. I started listening to this because acupuncturist recommended it sure to my high stress job. After listening to this book and implementing his techniques, my stress levels (and heartburn and acid reflux) lowered and eventually disappeared. It's a simple method but takes dedication, totally worth it. Thanks for sharing your gift Light!

Inspirational and helpful!

I had listened to a podcast where Light Watkins was interviewed. I was inspired by him to start a meditation practice, but I did not know how to begin. This book, along with Light’s book The Inner Gym, were instrumental in getting me started with a successful meditation practice. My husband and I are now 3 weeks in on a daily meditation practice, and we are already noticing the positive effects that it is having on our lives and in each other. I highly recommend this book!

A very practical approach to meditation

My first guided mediation was by Light and I now considered myself lucky to have a teacher like him. For a long time I always heard people talk about meditation as if it was some kind of mythical art of zen. Not until I met light did I realize meditation was a much simpler and more obtainable practice.

For anyone looking to get started in meditation, his book goes into detail on how and why the method he uses is both practical and useful.

Best guide to meditation

Took awhile to get into Light’s accent. But quite quickly it became very clear his message is amazing and worth persevering with! (Sorry if that sounds irreverent Light! ) anyway I’d heard a podcast with him being interviewed which is what lead me to buying the book and persevering. So glad I did. This has actually changed my life.

I’ve done many courses in mindfulness and tried to build my own practice ... so much knowledge and so little capacity ... this has opened up the practice to me so soo effectively.

If meditation is something you need in your life and your daily practice is not happening ... listen to this... you won’t regret it!

Brilliant

So simple so true finally have permission to let go of control of “trying to meditate” and simply relax into. So grateful I no longer have to aspire to being a Buddhist monk. Go Light!

What made the experience of listening to Bliss More the most enjoyable?

I like how laid back Light is and how he uses funny stories to demonstrate what he wants to convey.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bliss More?

The most memorable part is probably when he advises against sitting up too straight because you will not transcend.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

When Light cannot go skinny dipping with the pretty girls because he doesn't know how to swim.

Best book I've read in years!!!

Light's guidance is so practical and direct I started meditating before getting to the end of the book! I'm on day 3 and already noticing how settled I feel at work, when previously I felt constantly restless and in flight-fight mode. I've been sleeping like a baby during the week - which is a rare thing! I now look forward to my meditation practise everyday. Going to reward myself with a warm blanket for meditation when I get to day 21! This book is for anyone who is feeling stressed want to find peace and joy in life! Get your copy now #noregrets :)
