A path to completeness and joy

While "Loving Sobriety" provides an illuminating and uplifting story of the road to recovery, some readers would have benefited from a deeper examination of the exact tactics or strategies used to sustain sobriety. More focus on how the author's path might be a source of guidance for others may also be helpful to some readers.

Nevertheless, "Loving Sobriety" is an inspiring and empowering read that encourages and motivates individuals navigating their own pathways to healing and joy in sobriety thanks to the author's personal experience of recovery, which is reinforced by the Twelve Steps and sober living miracles.

Beacon of hope for those battling addiction!

Listening to this book, I couldn't help but reflect on my own experiences with addiction, both personally and through friends and family. The book's candid portrayal of denial, the desire for change, and the rocky path to recovery resonated deeply. In the chapter titled "Now That We Are Patient, Are We There Yet?" Boots explores the idea that recovery is a continuous journey, not just a destination. This notion profoundly impacted me, reminding me that recovery is an ongoing process filled with growth and self-discovery.

The narration of the book was both powerful and empathetic, capturing the emotional depth of Boots' story. It felt like a friend sharing their most intimate struggles and triumphs. Overall, this book is a beacon of hope for those battling addiction and a testament to the transformative power of recovery. It serves as a reminder that with determination, support, and love, it's possible to overcome even the darkest of times and find lasting contentment and joy in a life of sobriety. SUPERB!

What a great book to gain understanding!!!

The reader did an excellent job of relaying the author's story. I learned so much about the mindset of an addictive person. I never understood why people in my circle who have struggled with drugs or alcohol and why they do what they do. If you have never had an issue, this is a book to gain knowledge. If you are struggling with where to start in your Sober Living journey, this is a very simply way and place to start making life changes. I have been the recipient of a coworker, who said some very critical things to me. Years later, we ran into one another in a grocery store and she said I was one of her apologies that she needed to make and it was fortuitous that we ran into one another by happenstance. I hadn't realized the importance of that event, but the peace it gave her showed immediately on her face. Like she could close a door that had been open way too long. Maybe it is that time for you to Love Living Sober?
