Story
A guy who rejects or breaks up with you should no longer exist in your life. Contacting him or allowing him to stay in touch with you will make you work harder and harder to convince him that you’re worth his love and attention, and it will compel you to play that ugly and unwinnable game called Chase-a-Man. The best way to avoid this ugly game and break his spell over you is to cut the guy off (cease all communications and interactions) for a set period of time, or in some cases, keep him cut off out of your life indefinitely.

Story
Real heartbreak is unmistakable. We think of nothing else. We feel nothing else. We care about nothing else. Yet while we wouldn't expect someone to return to daily activities immediately after suffering a broken limb, heartbroken people are expected to function normally in their lives, despite the emotional pain they feel. Now psychologist Guy Winch imagines how different things would be if we paid more attention to this unique emotion - if only we can understand how heartbreak works, we can begin to fix it.

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

You picked up this book because your breakup has been reduced to something that you feel you must “win” to emotionally survive and move on. This reduction can only take place if you were involved with a toxic person. Toxic people are selfish, empathetically bankrupt, and have a limited relationship with reality. Anyone who feels validated by exploiting your hunger for theirs is toxic - to your peace, your life, and your mental health.

I really needed this guide.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved the way Rebekah Amber Clark narrated through out and guided me point by point through to getting over my breakup.
Which scene was your favorite?
I loved it when the writer explained that men are more hurt by a fallen relationship or a breakup than a woman. In fact, they may never get over a girl on the long run either so that was a motivation.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes surely, I couldn't stop listening to it all night long. I didn't realize it was four in the morning when I finished. It helped me quit the sobbing quite effectively.
Any additional comments?
I really want to recommend this book to everyone inflicted with a breakup out there.
It was one of a kind and quite helpful indeed.

YOUR BEST COMPANION AFTER A BREAK UP
If you could sum up Getting Over a Breakup in three words, what would they be?
Unique, Inspiring and Motivating.
What other book might you compare Getting Over a Breakup to and why?
Personally I do not feel there is any other book on breakup worth comparing with Getting Over a Breakup. These 75 steps were really unique and different from the things I usually get to hear from friends or family for sympathy and it really helped heal my wounded heart.
What does Rebekah Amber Clark bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Rebekah has an amazing voice and she contributes to the concept the book conveys so well. The sympathy in her voice and words of the author were soothing for my brain and made me revive my positive energy and this makes all the difference from just reading the book.
The indifference of her depiction of how an ex typically acts after a break-up. Going through a break up requires an adjustment period and while enduring it, you should have a positive outlet for your sanity. Laughing, hanging out with friends, and accepting that you need a grieving period. Everyone is different with the coping methods they use, but use what is the most suitable to you.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Initially it was not my intention to listen to it all in one sitting because I was devastated and wasn't in my right state of mind and I thought nothing could help me. But sooner than I imagined,I got so attached to it and I couldn't move an inch till I had finished the book and even went for a replay immediately.
Any additional comments?
Four months ago, I went through a terrible breakup with my partner of nearly four years, and I was devastated, I thought I'd never be able to get through it. I purchased 7 books about surviving breakups, to help me get through, and this audio book turned out the best. I listened to it repeatedly as the words were so encouraging and soothing. It was indeed my best companion all through while I was trying to heal and before I knew it I was totally back on my feet all thanks to this book. I tell anyone who feels they would never get over a break up to listen to this audio book, It is appropriate for any gender or age, I highly recommend it!

Where do broken hearts go?
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the way it gave practical tips. The solutions were very diverse and there was something for every temperament type and emotional type. The book also took the readers through what to do and importantly what NOT to do. We all grieve differently, I usually suffer in silence, brood and would generally be in a very terrible mood where it’s hard to see anything positive about myself. Now I try to release it all and keep myself occupied for long stretches. This reduces the amount of time I have available to convince myself to go stalk him on Facebook.
Have you listened to any of Rebekah Amber Clark’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
My first Rebekah Amber Clark performance. She has a very convincing tone, makes just want to keep nodding. She's great!
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Getting Over a Breakup?
An idea I would remember is one that saved me eventually from a bad relationship. Every time he called me and wanted to make up, I kept on trying to remember the reasons why the relationship didn’t work and rationalize them again. This exercise reconfirmed their validity and the futility of going back there. It just wasn’t working and I stood my ground. I’m better off for it.
Any additional comments?
I know there are easy breakups but I’ve never been that lucky. I learnt the hard way that what is gone is gone, especially with an ex who cheated on me several times. The book was very right in saying that sometimes you just should avoid things that remind you of a painful experience till you’re able to feel better.
I was lucky enough to have good friends supporting me during the worst of my break-up. The type of friends the book refers to as “radiators”. They pretty much kept me off social media and kept me occupied when I wasn’t at work. While the book offers so many tips on dealing with a break up, what worked best for me in my experience was never losing myself in the pain and self-pity. I also deleted him and most of his friends off social media.
The book advised keeping emails, pictures and other souvenirs in a secret folder if you’re not ready to move on yet. My advice? Ctrl A + Delete, go to Recycle Bin, click Empty. Are you sure? YES!!! Then you can start your life afresh. I hope this book helps you as much as it helped me come to terms with my break-up.

Incredible Steps to Get Better after a Breakup
If you could sum up Getting Over a Breakup in three words, what would they be?
Profound. Apt. Well-presented.
What other book might you compare Getting Over a Breakup to and why?
This book is comparable to some other books on relationship matters because the the subject matter borders on romance. However, the book ranks the best among my other favorite books in this category.
What does Rebekah Amber Clark bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I found her witty and chatty style of getting her points across to listeners, fascinating.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! I found it so profound that I had to make sure I finished it on time. No procrastination.
Any additional comments?
This book from Kate Anderson is highly recommended to overcome the negative psychological issues -- such as depression, sadness, pain and much more -- resulting from a breakup. Breakups tend to have noticeable worrisome effects on many persons, especially when the relationship used to be a deep, committed and promising one. Such individuals will find this book essential to turn the tide for them and restore happiness which they rightly deserve.

You don't have to have had a breakup to read this!
Any additional comments?
I have been a phycology student previously and I was drawn more to the book for the mental strategies used with pain and anguish suffered from a breakup. I found the dealing with pressures from social platforms interesting. The approach taken by the author was refreshing. Kate Anderson paints a path for which listeners can integrate small strategies that make big changes. Fascinating read.
