Soothing ...yet funny advice that aids in easing the pain of a breakup. It definitely gives value.

it benefits to listen from time to time to understand and appreciate what a gift a good relationship is.

Good for the heart

If you can overlook the corny jokes this is a good listen for those who are heartbroken or in the process of breaking up. They give a wide range of examples and one of them is bound to fit your life. I liked it and found it had some valid points.

This was just what I needed.

Y'all, I just had a breakup. The BAD kind. After ten years of friendship and two years of "being together," my dude (whom I'd been in love with basically forever) dumped me... via drunk text message. Of course this single act confirmed my worst suspicions about his character, but that's neither here nor there. I spent several days wailing on my parents' couch and then several days crying on the phone to my best friends, then I decided to become a breakup superhero and recover by listening to self-help audiobooks on the elliptical. This is the first book I tried, and it was perfect. It's not particularly "deep" and it's not somber, and there's no hokey spirituality (which I abhor). There are breakup stories that will make you feel like you're really doing awesome (even if you're chain-smoking and crying on your front porch in front of your whole nosy neighborhood, as I was). I just generally feel way better now, and this book (plus the cardio) is why. I think you should go ahead and get it.

This is a fantastic book full of great advice and some laughs at a time when it's most needed. I have listened to it again and again to help me gain valuable perspective while I went through my own painful breakup. The lighthearted humor made it easy to turn to when I felt like contacting or even just thinking about my ex. HIGHLY recommend to anyone going through a break up or just thinking about breaking up.

Great Book!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I thought it was a great the narrator did a great job of delivering the humorous elements of the book and I found myself nodding and "amening" in my car on the way to and from work on several occasions. I would definitely recommend this to someone with deep, lingering, unanswered questions about break-ups, theirs in particular. This book covered so many bases.
