Publisher's Summary

This book is designed to help you rise to the challenge and become the game changer your organization needs. Candid insights from dozens of coaches, managers, CEOs, journalists, entrepreneurs, and other elite performers reveal the qualities that make some people stand out, and the underlying theme is mindset.

While talent is a great head start, it is merely potential. Undeveloped and erratically-wielded talent holds little value for an organization. The key to high performance is an intentionally cultivated mindset of success, backed by the bold action it takes to make things happen every day.

This book delves deep into the elite performance paradigm to help you work at the highest levels. The performance spectrum is not about classifying your coworkers; it's about self-assessment, self-reflection, and self-improvement. Everyone has star quality, even if it is buried deep inside. Unstoppable helps you uncover your potential, and upgrade your performance to become the best.

Great book

Great book about being competitive.

A lot like Tim Grover's Relentless - talks about what it takes to be elite competitors. Not just compete but be one of the very best. Great book on mindset.

good info, bad author

There is lots of great information in this book to help you grow, but the author gets progressively aggressive as you get further in the book. Eventually, he gets to a point where he is no longer being blunt and is just being rude and it makes it harder to take him and his advice seriously.

Great Listen!!!

Would you listen to Unstoppable again? Why?

Yes, not only did Dave have great energy when reading this book but I think that you reread or re listen to this book as a refresher so that you are recognizing your teams talents. Also so that you are treating them with the level they are on but giving them practical tips on how to elevate themselves to another level.

What other book might you compare Unstoppable to and why?

Relentless

Have you listened to any of Dave Anderson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, first book ive read from Dave.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Extreme in the sense that this book helped me realize that I have work to do. It helped me recognize my teams individual talents and practical ways to help them elevate their game. Most importantly it helped me realize the importance of you morning rituals and of how your philosophy shapes every decision you make and if dont have your philosophy written down and reading it everyday ( because Every Day Means EVERY DAY) you arent setting yourself up for success.

Any additional comments?

If you in a leadership position this book is a must read!!!

Audible Narration Even Better

The first time I read this book I loved it and started implementing a lot of new things to my business. Since reading the book for the first time I was fortunate enough to hear Dave Anderson speak at a conference. Listening to this book again narrated by him personally was a truly eye opening experience and I picked up even more great knowledge.

Some worthwhile advice

There are some good points made in the book but there are far too many sports stories. The author almost constantly references basketball and football players and coaches. Additionally, this book is clearly directed at men. I counted two references to women. The first was about a successful man’s wife who inspired her husband. The second was a reference to a deceased women’s basketball coach who was quoting a man the author admired. Finally, some of the author’s points on race and gender are inconsiderate and overly simplified
