Maybe the original is 8 hours for a reason

The original book seems longer than it needs to be at points, I’d hoped this would be a good refresher without rereading it/a good intro for a partner that’s not keen on reading the entire book. Unfortunately if I’d started here I wouldn’t be too interested in reading the book, and I don’t feel like it’s nearly in depth enough on its own to gain much from. It’s dry and boring, doesn’t give much to resonate with like the original.
