None of us had a perfect childhood; we are all carrying around behaviors that don’t serve us—and may in fact be hurting us. But it doesn’t have to be that way, says licensed marriage and family therapist Vienna Pharaon. Our past might create our patterns, but we can change those patterns for the better...with the right tools. In The Origins of You, Pharaon has unlocked a healing process to help us understand our Family of Origin—the family and framework we grew up within—and examine what worked (and didn’t) in that system.

Story
A guy who rejects or breaks up with you should no longer exist in your life. Contacting him or allowing him to stay in touch with you will make you work harder and harder to convince him that you’re worth his love and attention, and it will compel you to play that ugly and unwinnable game called Chase-a-Man. The best way to avoid this ugly game and break his spell over you is to cut the guy off (cease all communications and interactions) for a set period of time, or in some cases, keep him cut off out of your life indefinitely.

Publisher's summary
Spiritual writer and founder of Rising Woman, Sheleana Aiyana takes you on a transformational inner-work journey to heal lifelong relationship patterns and reclaim power over your life.
Romantic relationships have the ability to infuse our lives with the magic of intimacy and connection. But for many of us, that magic is fleeting—over and over, our relationships don't last, or if they do, they fail to make us happy. We find ourselves chasing unavailable love, sublimating our needs in service to others, or trying to save our partners from themselves, all the while abandoning the one who needs us most—ourselves.
If you find yourself struggling to let go after a relationship ends, or you keep hitting the same wall in dating and relationships with emotionally unavailable people, this is not a sign that you are broken. It is a sign that somewhere along the way, you learned to sacrifice yourself in order to be loved. In Becoming the One, spiritual leader and visionary founder of the Rising Woman community Sheleana Aiyana offers a road map for transforming your relationship patterns to end the cycle of self-abandonment and move into the light of self-discovery. You'll learn to:
Build a secure, loving relationship with yourself.
Connect with your inner child.
Challenge your core beliefs about love.
Set self-affirming boundaries.
Discover and celebrate your true desires.
Recognize red and green flags.
Sheleana's revolutionary lessons, based on wisdom from the traumas of her past and years of guiding thousands of women around the world in her internationally acclaimed "Becoming the One" program of spiritual and therapeutic healing practices, teach you to embody the qualities you are seeking in others so that you can become "the one" for yourself. You'll learn how to trust your body, make peace with your past, and clear the path for healthy, conscious love—one that returns the authority to you to choose how to live and whom to love.
The desire for love is wired into the very fibers of our being, but before you can create rewarding bonds with others, first you must stand wholeheartedly in self-acceptance. Becoming the One is an invitation to find your way home to yourself.

The Way of Grace is an invitation to let go of the need for control, release our fears, and learn to be open and undefended with what is. Using teaching stories, guided meditation, self-inquiry practices, prayer, and more, Macpherson takes us step by step through the liberating process of undoing our fixed egoic patterns as we explore the four dimensions of Grace.

Negotiations are incredibly stressful and can bring out the worst in people. Wouldn’t it be better if there were a principled way to negotiate? Wouldn’t it be even better if there were a way to treat people fairly and get treated fairly in a negotiation? Split the Pie offers a new approach that does both—a field-tested method that reframes how negotiations play out. Barry Nalebuff, a professor at Yale School of Management, helps identify what’s really at stake in a negotiation: the “pie.” The negotiation pie is the additional value created through an agreement to work together.

Relationships have always been essential to human survival. Our bodies and brains are programmed to seek out connection, whether familial, romantic, or platonic. And yet, these vital bonds are often at the root of our deepest suffering. While our hearts are primed for compassionate connection, our nervous systems—which store all our past hurts and disappointments—are wired for threat and negativity.

Heartfelt gratitude
I am very grateful for your most loving, kind, & humble work. My youngest daughter gave me the book to read & I also rented the audio so I could go about my days while I listened. Your voice is very nonjudgmental & calming like an angel. I will go back & read the book with a better understanding & I will listen to the audiobook again as well. I was married for 25 years & sadly divorced for 20 years. I’ve been in love several times & always dreamed of a beautiful future but their behaviors felt like they would break my spirit & take my smile away. So here I am at 65 still unattached so I feel this book is a blessing to me. There are so many people I now want to share this book with also. You are a blessing to the world, my daughter & to myself
With sincere respect,
Susanne Taraschi.

Deepen The Connection With Yourself!
I've *long* been a fan of Rising Woman, following on Instagram, and I've done her Becoming The One course multiple times over the years and each time gotten a new, deeper level of understanding, acceptance, peace, and self-love out of it.
This book is phenomenal to those who have and haven't yet done the course. This is a beautifully written and organized book that covers topics such as: healing your inner child, your abandonment wound, attachment style, forgiveness and self-forgiveness, changing relationship patterns that no longer serve you, and more.
The narration is SO perfect. Her voice really soothes and resonates with me while gently exploring these healing topics. It was easy for me to listen to and get absorbed in, almost a meditation in and of itself. There are beautiful meditations, altar suggestions, letter prompts to help you release the trauma and emotions trapped in your body, and lots of other practical solutions to resonate with many who are on their healing journey.
It's also filled with personal stories in a light-memoir style that helps you connect with the author, her soul journey, and how important and life-changing truly healing and doing the work can be. To many, it may come as a surprise that this work does not have to feel stressful, sad, and difficult, and instead it can be a beautiful release that is freeing and you quickly find yourself living the life you've always wanted to.
I was so in love with this book that I bought it as a gift for my mother, my sister, and a handful of friends! This is absolutely a must-read and one I am sure I will return to time and time again. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

Breakthroughs and light
Tapping into childhood wounds I didn’t know existed and and explaining conscious relationships. This booked help me reframe what I subconsciously do to hurt my relationships and show me what I want and how I become the one ❤️
