Story
Up to 40% of people consider themselves shy. You might say you're introverted or awkward, or that you're fine around friends but just can't speak up in a meeting or at a party. Maybe you're usually confident but have recently moved or started a new job, only to feel isolated and unsure. If you get nervous in social situations - meeting your partner's friends, public speaking, standing awkwardly in the elevator with your boss - you've probably been told, "Just be yourself!" But that's easier said than done - especially if you're prone to social anxiety.

For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

I liked this book felt realistic which is a nice change. It is for everyday people, not just people who have 10 hours free a day to chant and do yoga on a mountain top ;)

Get out of your own head
Have you listened to any of Sorrel Brigman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No. I love the way the author punctuated every major point with a quote from a notable personality though.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The section about staying in the moment is one I found very helpful. I tend to worry about things I can’t control and try to achieve perfection. You cannot control everything and it’s ok. Also, the book also stressed the importance of living for yourself, being yourself and keeping away from comparing yourself to other. I used to embarrass my best friend through high school without meaning to because her parents kept comparing us and judging her based on the things I did. I felt guilty for making her feel bad and it caused a few awkward moments.
Any additional comments?
I remember the first time I had to do a public debate. It was for a French class. Even though I was well prepared, I got on stage and froze up. I didn’t stop feeling embarrassed subconsciously till I gave a valedictorian speech and got a standing ovation. A significant change in temperament occurred because every time I was worried about facing a crowd, I found myself replaying the French debacle repeatedly. Until I came full circle with another awesome speech, I didn’t have a new image to replay. The book was very right in that until we identified the underlying thoughts behind our worries and embarrassments, we would keep dwelling in the past.
I’m my own worst critic. Even when everyone says I did a good job, I can’t stop myself from feeling like I could have done better. I appreciate that the author took time to break down these real-life situations and helped me better understand that I am master of my own destiny and the future is less scary when we let go of the past and stop regretting our decisions.
Who we are is the product of all our decisions, both good and bad and until you let go of clichés and socially acceptable concepts, then can you fulfil your own potential without the burdens of worry, embarrassment and regret holding you back.
This is a very helpful and practical guide for dealing with serious issues that bothers most people. I wholly recommend it to everyone.

What did you love best about Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment and Regret?
I liked the fact that it was so practical. It offers real life solutions to real life problems. It was a reminder for me to let go of things in the past and just face the new days as they come. One thing I did after reading the book was go sign up for salsa classes. One of my worst memories was falling in High school during a group dancing class, I really want to replace it with happier memories.
What about Sorrel Brigman’s performance did you like?
Sorrel Brigman's performance was very natural and professional. Great job.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes it was. I actually finished it in two long stretches that were interrupted by a phone call. Even while taking notes, it was fun to listen to.
Any additional comments?
One thing I learnt from the book is not to be so hard on myself when I make mistakes. Loving myself more takes effort. I didn't grow up being ok with average and I guess now, I have to accept that I can't control everything in my life at work and also accept that I have done my best. Regret is toxic and when it stays in the mind too much, it affects our confidence. This book was a breath of fresh air and I can safely say I will try as many tips as possible from this book and improve my life. You should listen to this. It's going to change your life.

Amazing Tips, outstanding audible By Great Author
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sorrel Brigman delivered each and every word with a smooth and adoring overall tone. she narrated the guide in a very amazing way. Like her speech, It appears understanding and relaxing, experienced and enthusiastic. It's like she's one of your best friends. This put me at convenience instantly and I devoured the audible instantly.
Any additional comments?
Before buying and reading to this phenomenal book, handling my stress was one of the most difficult things to do in my life. Yet we can't stay without it. To experience daily life is to experience your stress. Writer describes how stress isn't so much what happens, but the way responds to it does makes a difference. Sometimes lifestyle brings us a curveball, but we have the natural capability to handle with any detour in our daily working life. We all have the ability within us to start the doorway to a better lifestyle. You have the option to encourage yourself. No one can do that for you.
I have never listned to any audio book with such consistency and focus before. The way author has narrated, amazing tips and techniques that power each of the actions to better health and pleasure is really fascinating. Take what suits for you and integrate these simple actions into your daily lifestyle. This guide works as a banking center of sources, helping you add to your tool kit so you can move forward from any current limitations and make life you have always wanted.
Very effective, efficient and worth paying for book--- narrated by the author in a very warm, friendly and sensible way for everyone. This is about linking and understanding the benefits of the simple things and stuff in your life. Time, love, motivation & encouragement also tells us that it’s not just about taking from others. All we have to do is start giving away. In this way we’ll feel much relaxed and better than before.
Very Effective audible, leaves a mark on complete life. Life is short so always be happy, take care of your parents, friends and family. Change your life for a better tomorrow.

Brilliant!
If you could sum up Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment, and Regret in three words, what would they be?
Helpful, positive, and insightful.
Any additional comments?
This book is all about letting go of things that hold you back from enjoying life. It teaches you how to completely let go of worry, say No to embarrassment, and obliterate regret. By letting go of these 3 things you can fully live in the present without torturing yourself by "rerunning" embarrassing moments or dwelling on things you wish you hadn't done. The section on worry is great for learning how to free yourself from anxiety and start doing things you've been avoiding or you've been too scared to try.
I absolutely love the philosophy behind this book. Leading a life full of worry, embarrassment, and regret is no way to live. This book is all about letting go of the things that hold you back from enjoying your life as well as negative events that happened in your past. Life is too short to dwell on the past or fear the future!

This book helped me free myself, helped change me
Any additional comments?
Really useful book. This book is about freeing yourself of hate and sadness and how to really enjoy life freely. It teaches you how to be your best and complete self without embarrassment. You have to let go of these 3 things in order to be happy in life. This book teaches you how to do that. Don't think about your mistakes. Learn and move forward. This is reitrerated time and time again. Freeing yourself from anxiety and doing new things is also touched upon in detail. Overall a solid book for anyone looking to grow. I highly recommend it to all my friends and family. I liked how easy and quick it was to implement the advice given. Thanks!

A big help
Any additional comments?
I personally found it to be hugely beneficial. This book helped me so much to let go of a generally negative feeling I had much of my life. It was not an overnight cure and it did take work on my behalf too but i am just relieved to finally found a book full of practical actionable advice and not just endless tests! Really recommend this book, it would appeal to a wide range of people.

An Absolute Life Changer
If you could sum up Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment, and Regret in three words, what would they be?
Wise. Up-lifting. Encouraging.
What did you like best about this story?
This book is bound to become a personal improvement classic. It has a way of simplifying life, helping you reach for lightness and let go of darkness. The theory is that by holding on to worry, embarrassment, and regret, you're keeping yourself rooted in the past and the future, rather than living life in the present. Jennifer Alison explores common thoughts and behavioural patterns that hold us back from true happiness. For me, the sections on worry and embarrassment were the most helpful. I've been crippled with worry and panic attacks for most of my life and I've found that my fear of embarrassment has only increased my worry over the years! Learning how to let go of embarrassment (and how to stop replaying embarrassing moments over and over in my head) has already had a profound effect on me. And now that I've learned how to let go of my panic attacks and worry, I am truly so much happier. What a great book!

Letting go of...issues.
What did you like best about this story?
It felt real. It was realistic. It didn't feel silly, or out of date or need you to be a millionaire to implement the advice.
Helpful and genuine and at times even touching.
Any additional comments?

Does what it says on the cover!
Any additional comments?
Wonderful book. Slightly different from other books in this often over-subscribed genre, which was a huge relief. Really gave me some valuable insight and more importantly than that it gave me some practical advice and tips i could begin to implement immediately to help me move on with life. Fantastic book, thanks to the author, i will be listening to this again and again.

Sorry? I am no longer...
If you could sum up Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment, and Regret in three words, what would they be?
No more worries.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved how the book was so inspiring and positive. I could just keep on listening all day long and still not be bored. I got away from my sad and depressed self who I loathe at the moment the moment I was done listening to the last sentence.
What about Sorrel Brigman’s performance did you like?
She was calm, composed with her performance and her soothing voice was perhaps the reason to this book becoming even better than the written version so I really recommend it to every person out there.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
To be all honest here, I did listen all night long after I was regretting because of one tiny little mistake, made me forget all about it. Worked like a charm
Any additional comments?
I really recommend everyone, even if anyone's not even close to a nervous breakdown to listen and enjoy the soothing words of the narrator. It really is a happy book so don't be shy, I myself am sending some copies to a few friends and family.

Incredibly helpful!
What made the experience of listening to Let Go of Worry, Embarrassment and Regret the most enjoyable?
That the advice actually worked. I am bored of books that just contains a lot of medical nonsense or advice that is hard to implement into your life - this book was definitely different.
Have you listened to any of Sorrel Brigman’s other performances? How does this one compare?
First time, but thought her narration (and the production of the audiobook in general) was excellent!
Any additional comments?
This book helped me deal with a lot of issues and a, at times, overwhelming feeling of general unhappiness and discontent.
Fantastically realistic and up to date. Very impressed and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Inciteful and introspective look at yourself
This book really helped me recognise and acknowledge some past experiences that were holding me back in a number of ways. The book guides you through the process of discovering, understanding - and most importantly, forgiving yourself so as to not let these experiences negatively influence your life. An excellent book.

Very 'quotey'
I was drawn to the title and overview however once into it i struggled with the narration and lack of useful content. I think if you stripped all the qoutes out it would be only about half as long!

For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights.
