Publisher's Summary

You can free yourself from a painful past.

Learn to let go, forgive, and heal yourself

We have all been hurt. You may still be feeling the pain of childhood abuse or neglect, the sting of rejection or abandonment, the shame of prejudice or ridicule. You may have already come far in healing your wounds. But until you can let go of anger, grudges, resentment, and the desire to punish your offender, those wounds will continue to hold you back from loving, giving and living fully. In this intensive, interactive program, you will share in the healing journey of coauthor Suzanne Simon and others who have found the strength to grow into successful survivors. Based on a series of workshops for healing and forgiving, this audio will guide you through the six stages of healing and give you the tools and knowledge you need to mend yourself. You will learn that your pain is real and must be recognized; that forgiving is not forgetting: that forgiveness is moving on with your life toward a happier tomorrow. Make peace with your past and get on with your life. Forgiveness is a gift to give yourself.

Not really groundbreaking.

If you've been molested by your father, this book will probably be a home run. If not, it's just an ok listen. At least it's just an hour.

No groundbreaking information. No research studies. No adverse health statistics. Just anecdotal evidence, which isn't bad, but it's just what it is.

It's really just a, "If we can do it, so can you!", book.

Could have been better

It's just a couple stories on people saying what they did. Nothing about how to do any of it yourself. Not helpful

Real Problems

I loved this audio book about forgiveness. It touched on things I could relate to. I am a teacher seeking techniques to have students learn to treat each other with respect and not harbor resentment. This audiobook was way too deep for my original purpose, yet I listened to it again and again.
