Publisher's Summary

Erin Falconer, editor in chief and co-owner of the highly respected self-improvement site Pick the Brain (with over 1.8 million monthly page views), shows overscheduled, overwhelmed women how to do less so that they can achieve more.

Women live in a state of constant guilt: that we're not doing enough, that we're not good enough, that we can't keep up. If we're not climbing the corporate ladder, building our side hustle, preparing home-cooked meals, tucking the kids in at night, meditating daily, and scheduling playdates, date nights, and girls' nights every week, we feel like we're not living our best lives. Yet traditional productivity books - written by men - barely touch the tangle of cultural pressures that women feel when facing down a to-do list.

Finally, in the first productivity book by a woman in a decade, Erin Falconer will show you how to do less - a lot less. In fact, How to Get Sh*t Done will teach you how to zero in on the three areas of your life where you want to excel, and then it will show you how to offload, outsource, or just stop giving a damn about the rest. As the founder of two technology start-ups and one of Refinery29's Top 10 Women Changing the Digital Landscape for Good, Erin has seen what happens when women chase an outdated, patriarchal model of productivity, and in How to Get Sh*t Done she shows how even the most perfectionistic among us can tap in to our inner free spirit and learn to feel like badasses rather than drudges.

Packed with real-life advice, honest stories from Erin's successful career, and dozens of actionable resources, How to Get Sh*t Done will forever reframe productivity so that you can stop doing everything for everyone and start doing what matters to you.

Not What I Expected

This was an okay book. It didn’t cover a lot of ways to actually get things done and instead focused on author’s self journey how she got things done. It touched a bit on good self discovery points only to fall short of follow through and elaboration.

Can’t follow & needs a new narrator

This could have been a good book. But the narrator is AWFUL!!!!!! I bought by accident after a friend recommended. After about 45 mins of listening I was so lost & couldn’t follow a damn thing the narrator was saying.... which made me go back & check the txt my friend sent me because I thought no way in hell she would have recommended this... & turns out I bought the wrong book! Anyway, this one is weird. Never thought I’d take advantage of the amazon “you can return a book on audible” policy, but I did!!

Put Your Oxygen Mask on First

Erica reaffirmed my belief that you have to master NO to others and a whole bunch of YES` to yourself to achieve goals, have peace of mind and to live your best life.

Fantastic How To from the Mind of a Woman

I chose this book for motivation and for yet another way to organize my life and everything in it. This was just what I needed. This gives you a practical female point of view and helps you wrap your mind around all of the things that you need to do, but from a woman and mother perspective. I loved the stories and I loved that she gave me permission to focus on what I needed to do. If you're a wife, mother, CEO or all three.....this is a good place to start to unjumble your mind.

Enjoyable & Insightful

More personal about the author than expected...but, there are some great tips. I would recommend this to women needing validation about how hard they are working.

I Do Not Find Anything of Value Here

Here's the drill. I am strong. I am courageous. I am frank and honest yes.
This book is not recommended for all those that have life experience.
