The Bible for anyone interested in getting healthy

Dr McDougall is a pillar of truth and wisdom. In the finest book of his career, he outlines in detail the core principles he has learned in his 50 years of practicing medicine, namely how to heal people with a healthy diet. If you want to get slim and healthy for good, and visit your physician only on very rare occasions, this is the book for you.
Narration was OK, not bad or very impressive, I'd say it was adequate. Nonetheless, I highly recommend that you either listen to the audio book or buy the Kindle version or print version, as long as you read this. It could change your life and improve it dramatically, like it has for thousands of other people.

Wish I had read this years ago

The reader's voice is very pleasurable and not boring at all. I don't generally like audio books for that reason but need an extra incentive to read this book. I'm so glad I did! I'm ready! Are you?

Good information, skip to the last two chapters...

I don't typically buy audiobooks not read by the author because they don't seem as authentic to me, but listening to this book I found myself forgetting that the narrator was not the author!

The content of the book is very thorough. I did find it hard to get through at points and was relieved to get to the practical information of how to apply the starch solution in the final two chapters.

If you need a why to change your diet to a vegan one, or information to give to skeptics, this is a good book to read!

iI really liked the narrator. this book will change how you look at food and health. the fat youe eat is the fat you wear.

A book everyone should read.

Dr. McDougall has done extensive research in to health and plant based eating. It constantly amazes me how much information can be obtained not only in this book but on his website. McDougall’s quest for the truth is truly amazing and has put him at odds with those holding fast mainstream ideas we have been taught over the past few decades. It has personally cost him to much to take a stand. Hats off to this great guy!

Classic McDougall

Listening to McDougall and the other good nutrition doctors helps me to make good food choices daily. However, he needs to stick to nutrition and health. It's a shame that he tries to guilt readers into healthy eating to save the planet/environment. Stick to nutrition and health Doc.

good information

he helps you change your brain from hating carbs. I started a whole foods plant based diet over a month ago and have been avoiding starchy foods a as always. I'm going to give it a shot!
