A Lifestyle, Not a Diet

I began Eat to Live shortly after I became vegan. I never even noticed I was losing weight until people started commenting. I had remained vegan, but this year I wanted to get more focused and stop my consumption of white flour and rice. I listened to Eat For Health as a refresher, and completely cut out those low-nutrient foods. My pants had gotten tighter over the years as I had added those items back in to my diet. Now, all my pants fit again and, just like the first time, I haven't been hungry at all. This book is for anyone who wants to improve their health and, as a bonus, get to your ideal weight. I turned 56 last year and I weigh less than I did in my 20's.

Serious about your health? THIS is THE book!!

If you could sum up Eat for Health in three words, what would they be?

My title says it all. Excellent info on nutrition and how everything works. Big lifestyle change. Are YOU ready??

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dr. Fuhrman is the narrator and does an excellent job. He sounds strong in his convictions.

This book brought great health to me and my family

I have read many health books, and this one really gave me the perspective and knowledge to change. Dr. Fuhrman makes some strong claims, and after having witnessed the results first hand, I feel compelled to share this book with any health-conscious person I meet.

I have lost 30 pounds, without the starvation sensations I have suffered through when trying other approaches to weight loss. I also have 4 other family members, each of whom have lost around 15-20 pounds thanks to this information; one has been able to drastically reduce BP meds. I recommend listening / reading the predecessor to this book, Eat to Live, as well.

This book is life changing.

I have been listening to this book over and over because it has helped me to"brain wash" my mind into re- programming my brain to think of food in a life changing, health and energy building manner. I have lost 20lbs in the last 6 weeks. I feel great. I am eating healthy foods that are enjoyable, and I feel totally satisfied. I highly endorse this book to anyone who wants to look and feel better while preventing or curing many illnesses that can actually be eliminated by adapting a nutrient dense diet. This book was an answer to my prayers. I am grateful to Dr. Furman and my good friend who recommended this book to me. I believe I will never be the same

Read this Before "Eat to Live"

We love Dr. Fuhrman's audio books. He is very charasmatic and fun to listen to - this book was written after "Eat to Live" and is less intimidating; we cannot find it in print, so we are pretty happy about it being on audio. Dr. Fuhman's audio lecture on Nutritional Excellence is a good starting point. This book is an excellent follow-up and "Eat to Live" last (at least for us). His books are almost like good fiction, I don't want them to end :-)

Very GOOD Information that I never heard before!

I was very surprised at some of the info but happy to have the much needed knowledge NOW.. I'm consider myself pretty well informed and to hear new information that really is common sense.. yet surprisingly enlightening.. Just have one Caviat.. Where is book TWO? ;-) It talks about it, but I can not see it anywhere? Someone please.. tell meJ
