    This has to be the most complete health and fitness book ever written. Great stuff but can be a bit overwhelming. It should probably be approached as a reference book. Listening straight through gives you the impression that you could never do all these things. Just too many fixes that sound like snakeoil.

    "Not worth the time"

    Ben puts in a big effort. but this book gives ideas that the common person isn't going to try because we don't have disposable income for gadgets that might or might not work. Ben simply is marketing an industry and tries to push the reader into buying ideas and products to build an industry. Pass on the book. all info is available free on Web youtube. he is just pushing his products too. He is trying to copy others Dave Asbrey Bulletproof by trying to create a market and capitalize on it. These guys are trying to sell stuff.

    Ben Greenfield hit the nail on the head with his book Beyond Training. If you're an athlete / coach or both this book is a must read. What you can expect to fine is a completed road map to amazing life, love, athletic, human body, time sucks, nutritional and many more amazing fact and hacks that apply to every day life you'll learn how to train smarter not harder the Ben Greenfield way.     "The book I have been looking for for the past year!"

    After a year of listening to many different Podcasts daily this book has summed up about 90% of what I have learned about health and fitness. I really enjoyed having the author narrate it also!

    Great book. So much info. You definitely want it printed to highlight and jot notes, though. Also, all the book is now on his website, but the aidiobook is a good was to time efficiently take in the info and focus on the parts that interest you most.

    I have been training for 3 years now, constantly filling my head with whatever information I could find to improve my overall mental/physical/effective lifestyle performance by even 1%
    I desperately wish I knew of this book at the start. it could have saved me tones of time just sifting through all the information to separate facts from fiction.
    I can't recommend this enough for all those out there seeking for a phenomenal book that covers just about all areas of health and wellness using the latest science.
    I plan on purchasing the physical books just for the sake of notes!

    Some of the information in this book was interesting but over the top ideas. If you have a lot of money to throw away then buy this book. As the advice is mostly to do with V02max testing, machines that simulate high altitude training DNA testing. As for his nutrition advice i wouldn't take it.. The guy has no idea what he is talking about. This book is him selling mostly himself and his products.

    "Tonnes of valuable information"

    This book contains a huge wealth of information, with even more detailed resources on Bens website. I've studied this field for some years, and I can honestly say most of the information and advice here seems pretty accurate and up to date. There may be parts you disagree with, as I did, but even then, there's many opportunities to research further. There's probably to much advice to implement in your own life, but there's enough to change your habits and your health for the better even if you implemented just 10% of the advice.
    Overall I found this informative, interesting, inspiring and motivational. My best purchase for some time.

    Got fed up of him promoting his website and his incessant use if the phrase "bio-hack" had me feeling nauseous.

    I'm sure there are some useful tips and tricks but I couldn't be bothered to sift through the magic beans and snake oil to find them.

    A comprehensive look in to exercise and life physiology, delves in to areas not commonly covered by other training guides. I've definitely changed my approach to life since reading this, and at 49 years old I'm now looking forward to a faster, fitter, happier, less stressed second half century. The almost conversational narration (by the author) adds belief to the authenticity of the content - Excellent

    This is, without a doubt the best book on training I have ever listened to (or read) Greenfield breaks the science of optimised performance down into practical implementable terms and frames them with his own perspective on longevity and quality of life. I can't recommend this book enough

    "the bible for triathlon"

    This book is probably the most comprehensive guide for triathletes, however I'm an average gym enthusiast so some of the chapters I did not find applicable. What I did enjoy about the book is the variety of chapters, all the information is based on research, and there is tonnes of information and additional resources. If you like geeking out on science and technology and the latest developments on health and well being then you won't be disappointed with this book. A key message of the book is to train smart rather than beat up your body with excessive training and take care of yourself.
