Publisher's Summary

Bowhunter and ultramarathoner Cameron Hanes narrates his audiobook with guest appearances from Joe Rogan and David Goggins. Listen in to push beyond your physical limits and improve yourself by following Hanes's lifelong philosophies and disciplines.

“It’s all mental.”

I say this all the time, and it’s true.

If you believe you can do it, you can.

We all have virtually limitless potential.

Our bodies are capable of so much more than what we ask of them.

Take off the mental handcuffs, get out there, and start on your way today.

What is your passion? You can become better at it.

Committing yourself to fitness only fuels your beliefs.

You gotta believe to achieve.

Cameron Hanes discovered his true passion for bowhunting when he was twenty. Inspired by the physical challenges of stalking elk in the Oregon wilderness—traversing mountainous terrain, braving erratic weather, and evading his quarry’s even more dangerous predators—he began an ever-evolving journey of self-improvement. To become the best bowhunter of wild elk, to the caliber he believed he could be, Cam realized he would need more than archery skills. He would need the stamina and strength that could only come from an athletic training regimen of long-distance running and heavy-weight lifting. And every day for more than thirty years, Cam has put in the work, building miles and muscles, pushing through pain with a single-minded focus on the only goal worth having—besting himself time and again.

Part memoir, part motivational manifesto, Endure reveals how Cam—a self-professed average guy—put himself through the paces to live the life of an expert bowhunter, respected writer, and family man. With discipline, sacrifice, resilience, a hard work ethic, and a belief in his own capabilities, Cam not only accomplished his dreams but continues to surpass them. There is no secret to his success except relentless determination and loyal dedication to his own self-worth.

If Cam can do it, we all can. Everyone has what it takes to endure adversity so we can rise above average, be the best we can be, and enjoy living life to the fullest.

No substance in his writing

There was no substance to his stories and I gained nothing from the 75% of the book I listened to. I couldn’t take any more of his low rent David Goggins-esk whining about “haters”.

Misleading

It should be more clear that this is an auto- biography, and not solely about self improvement and hard work.

Garbage

Don’t waste your time. There is no substance and nothing to be gained from listening to this pretentious writing also read in an annoying tone that’s meant to sound deep.

Not worth the time

Struggled to get through it. Mostly just Cam Hanes talking about the same stuff over and over. Could have been a better audiobook if read by someone else and the book needed more direction, felt like it lacked purpose.

Monotonous

This book is a poor man's version of Can't Hurt Me, by David Goggins. As others have pointed out, it's a poorly written autobiography where the author practically repeats the same thing every 15 minutes for 7 hours.

Blueprint for achieving greatness!

I think those of us that follow Cameron Hanes have a general idea of what it takes to achieve that one goal that we are most passionate about achieving. sadly, few are willing to put in the work and make the sacrifices needed to succeed. This spells out what it takes to move well beyond average. The narration is excellent and the content is priceless. Well done with no holds barred.

A buffet of knowledge bombs!

I expected it to be good, but is was AMAZING!!!! I listened to it all with the first 48 hours of buying it. I love that the reader/author was/is a steadfast no nonsense model of a human. I hope everyone else enjoys this book as much as I did!

If i can do this.. you can too

The main point is if i am nothing special and can endure to reach greatness, you can too. I thought the book had some high points but makes you question his decisions more than applaud them. He brings this up towards the end of his book but I think having some different point of views from his friends/ kids/wife could have added more context to some parts. I also believe more detail of when he was out in the mountains could add to his writing and make people feel more of what he feels in thous moments.

Respect the man, but hard to finish

Starts OK then just goes on about haters. Obviously has had a lot of flack on social media. Some good bits, if you are a fan of his already then worth a listen.

One dimensional message packaged in negativity

The guy has worked hard and achieved elite status in his passion (bow hunting). To do so he has sacrificed a huge amount but believes it to be worthwhile.
The issue with the book however is that that is all there is. The same message over and over. Those that have a different priorities are failures. Anyone who has a different perspective is a troll, and although he doesn’t care about trolls a large portion of this audio is devoted to whining about them.
It’s not an inspiring book as it’s so smug about how the author is simply better because he sleeps less and works hard.
I intend to look for motivational books with a lot more positivity. I think I’ll try Matt Fraser next…

A masterpiece.

This is one of those life-changing books like 'You Can't Hurt Me' by David Goggins or '12 Rules for Life' by Jordan Peterson.
Cameron Hanes is such a humble well spoken writer who truly immerses you in the story, you feel like you are alongside him hunting.
This book inspires anyone reading it to become the best version of themselves.
10/10.

Phenomenal Read

What can I say the best 7 odd hours of enjoyable listening. I may not be a bow hunter but listening to cam speak so passionately about bow hunting and his friend Roy was some special.
I have always been a huge Cam fan and am not running 7 miles 3 time a week when I could barely run 7 miles a month 💪🏿 I just keep hammering.
What I accomplished something I just keep thinking “nobody cares work harder”

Thank you this book was awesome man

Inspiring

I had bever heard of Cameron Hanes until an episode of the Joe Rogan Podcast. I can honestly say that I am truly glad I did. This man a an outstanding example of what can be achieved if we truly want to better ourselves and out lives. I myself, like so many others allow our day jobs and families to be excuses for laziness and a lack of commitment. "Keep hammering" is what we should all be aiming to do day in and day out, and this book has given me a boost to get out and start living life as I want. Go get it

A great listen showing the importance of hard work

Cam writes (and narrates) a great book that seems to mostly concern his passion (bowhunting), but really showcases the importance of hard work, grit, and giving your passion everything you've got. This is conveyed through an authentic narrative of his life. Well worth the time - will listen again.

One of the Greats

I have been a long follower of Cameron Hanes and I must say that this book was one I was looking forward to since I first heard about it.

The way Cameron speaks of his life and his own hero's that helped forge him into the man he is today is truly an eye opening experience. From start to finish I was absolutely enthralled with the experiences and life lessons this book teaches.

Cameron's modest way of talking about himself is truly inspiring. The guy is all work and no bullshit. If you are a hunter, runner, into fitness or just want to be motivated, this book is for you. Have not skipped a day of working out since.

Keep Hammering.
