Intriguing concept

I first heard the word "emotional intelligence" in a personal development class. Intrigued by the concept, I bought and listen this audio book. I does answer why it can matter more than IQ, and does give deeper understanding of how a human brain works, but it doesn't specifically apply examples to day to day life activities.

Easy to understanding the concept

Haven’t gotten too far through the book but am enjoying it. The physiology does get a little tedious at times, but I think it’s worth it to get the whole audible. I want to prefer that for all. Thanks!

So professional which needs for everybody

Although I would love to hear a modern revision that includes more research from the last two decades, this book still holds a plethora of lessons for every leader, parent, teacher, and indeed anyone who cares to better themselves and others.

Get the ability to access on this theme deeply.

Though the whole book as high, I much enjoyed the section on optimism. How optimistic you are about life has a huge impact. Your sense of confidence is more predictive of your success than your intelligence. Giving someone optimism is crucial.

Recommended!

This is probably why just going to therapy only once can be beneficial. Putting horrible memories into words can help you confine and control the emotion. Recommended!

Highly Effective EI book

This is an excellent EI book. It gives you insight on how your brain functions and a lot of tips to encounter your better self when solving problems, discussing with people, appealing to your proper side always. Authentic many parts of the book were too technical, but that's because when you don't know why something works like that, the author tries to teach the listener how that works.

A must listen for the informed human

Although I would love to see a modern revision that includes more research from the last two decades, this audio book still holds a plethora of lessons for every leader, parent, teacher, and truly anyone who cares to better themselves and others. Should be required reading in schools and for parents.

Encouraging and Validating

A audio book that encourages the idea and tested reality that intelligence is more than meets the eye. I felt valued as a person listening this audio book. It validated what I knew about myself but didn't have the words until now.

I have been mulling over these concepts forever..

This audio book lays a strong foundation for the argument of the importance of emotional intelligence. In fact, my teenage daughter has started to listen the audio book and I'm sure it will help her to get light years ahead of others in her same age simply because these qualities are not emphasized in school as much as rational/logical intelligence and tests. Also, the audio book is a great way to measure your level of emotional development and find areas where you need to improve.

I have found so many helpful tips and tricks!

I prefer for all. I'm impressed with this EI book. It will help you understand yourself and everyone around you, and why you and they behave the way you/they do. It's fantastic and explains not only the scientific background, information about the brain, but then, how that translates into thinking and behaviors.
