Publisher's summary

Your colleague says he agrees, but does he really, or is it only a facade? Have you ever thought you were going crazy, had your self-esteem suffer, or do you have a feeling you are being used, manipulated, or played? Do you sometimes feel uncomfortable around people and have a really hard time understanding their “real intentions”?

If you answered "Yes" to at least one of the questions above, you are absolutely not alone. Most people have real trouble recognizing false statements and differentiating fake from real emotions, even with the people close to them.

Sure, the small little lie about how awesome Grandma’s homemade pie tastes will not really hurt and might even be necessary for smooth human relationships. But lying can also have tremendous potential for harm, hurt feelings, or catastrophic business decisions.

Therefore, the skill to differentiate lies from the truth becomes critical and can be of tremendous value for anyone.

In Dark Psychology Secrets & The Art of Reading People, you’ll discover:

  • The six little-known facts to instantly kick-start your understanding of why and how people manipulate (Even if you are a bit socially awkward or don’t seem to get people’s true self easily!)
  • The exact formula to recognize the different stimuli that make people tick and that are founded in reason and science, not a pure “gut feeling”
  • How these three ways lead to becoming a manipulator’s victim - and how to stop any tries
  • Why it is not enough to only observe and how the right careful actions can bring your game on a whole other level
  • How a recent study by renowned researchers show a way to identify the root cue of a lie and provides new insights into the human psyche
  • Why these verbal expressions carry way more weight than you have ever thought (and why it is so hard to oversee for untrained people)
  • The absolute worst three things you might be misinterpreting currently that could cause you tremendous confusion and trouble (avoid these mistakes at all costs if you want to read people correctly!)
  • And much, much more!

Even if you are a complete beginner and have a hard time to naturally get the manipulation, the extensive research that went into this guide and the practical applications and exercises will instantly boost your abilities to analyze and understand deceptions and lies on a completely different level.

Poor Narration

This book is pretty good and I want to like it. However, the narrator completely ruins the content of the book.

Thoroughly depicted

This book helped me thoroughly understand how manipulative people can be in plain sight. I also love the introduction to Emotional intelligence.

Good Book.

I didn't care for this methodology dependent on how I would respond to such progression of the discussion. When somebody requests something crazy (particularly a sales rep attempting to make an arrangement), I end the dealings right away. My time is too significant to even think about dealing with somebody who isn't sensible. Different proposals, for example, building up a likeness or utilizing blame sounded bound to be effective.

I believe this book would make up for a nice.

I believe this book would make up for a nice and informative audiobook for those who are only learning the fundamentals. Yet someone with a certain level of expertise in that field would also find some new points I guess!

Overall good book

the first half focused too much on manipulative behavior and hot o identify it and run away from it. I was expecting a few more tips on how to identify genuine, manipulative, machiavellian and poisonous (bad actions and atitudes that darg you down and cause bad habits like gosip) behaviour.

narrator is awful

I want to like this book, I really do, but the narration is terrible. I can't concentrate on what he's even saying because of it. He reads very slow and monotone and takes very unnecessary pauses that last 3 seconds between each sentence. it's driving me nuts!
