Would you listen to The Power of Presence again? Why?
No, but I would read it. I read an essay by Hedges on Forbes and immediately downloaded the audiobook. But as useful as the information is, the presentation was robotic and lobotomized. It didn't feel authentic - sort of like having June Cleaver read a book to you. The reader was peppy and bright, but it sounded like she could have been reading anything, rather than a book about how women can work to improve their presence. A book about presence deserves a reader who sounds passionate about the subject.

Where does The Power of Presence rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I enjoyed the content in the audiobook and I have taken time to play back some of the areas where I book marked to do the exercises. This has helped me get more out of it.
What didn’t you like about Karen Saltus’s performance?
I really did not like her voice or the way she read the book at all. Her register was too high, her inflections were uninteresting and her voice did not give any weight to the content where it was needed. Her voice was VERY distracting and made it VERY hard to get through the book. I would recommend reading this book instead of listening to the audiobook.

This audio book is about creating a compelling presence in the workplace or at home with authenticity and integrity as the foundation. I was encouraged to review my core values and who I wanted to be perceived as, and make sure the two were aligned. From there the other guidelines for effectiveness follows. Highly recommended.

Great coaching refreshingly delivered - will listen again many times and share topics gladly with others
