Most of my experience with these tools has been working with volunteers in the non-profit world.

Amazing book!

I found this helpful from start to finish. In the first chapter the author already delivered impact about optimizing. I really liked the two chapters on motivation strategies and communication. The final chapter was goal setting for managers. Overall I highly recommend this title.

Can be used with a team of Volunteers!

The narrator says, ‘Rinse and Repeat’. That makes perfect sense to do with a strategy that works. I was happy to learn these strategies can be used with a group of volunteers as well. That is how I will implement what I have learned.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this audiobook if you are looking to be a great leader….and being more than just a boss!

I've gotten so much knowledge out of this book. I am feeling more confident going in to lead my team after listening and I've found I get more out of the book each time I listen. So many nuggets of wisdom here!

A managers best friend

This book took me by surprise. I have been a manager in several businesses, and in my own business. What I loved about this book is how brutally honest the author is in letting managers or leaders know how important their role is to the success of their business. After all, a business without happy employees is doomed to fail in my opinion.

As someone that went from ministry leadership to corporate leadership, Nick elaborates on qualities that transcends into both worlds.

His experience in leadership helps bring valuable perspective on personal self-care in leadership. As well, he expresses what it takes for a leader to thrive in a team setting.

Brzozowski wrote the book I didn't know I needed!

As a self-employed businesswoman, I hesitated to pick up this book because I wondered how it would apply to me. Very quickly I realized that this book was going to make a difference in my life. The book was short enough that I could really get into it in a short amount of time and with my very busy schedule, it was a good read. Nick's practical tips, tricks, and tools gave me an arsenal to work with. I realize that I can apply many of these principles to my home life, with my children,spouse, peers, and even with my clients. Definitely check it out! No matter what your life circumstances or your career position, because there is a lot in this little book it is a great practical companion! You are More Than a Boss!

Great book

This book is full of so much useful information that will be useful to so many people in their jobs.
I loved the part on how to motivate your staff, highlighting that everyone is motivated by different things. The author talks about different leadership styles and how to match these to the personalities of your staff.
