Publisher's summary

In the USA, fully two thirds of the people are either overweight or obese. And less than five percent of the people who lose weight keep it off for any length of time. In The Diet Fallacies, Al Davis explains not only why this happens, but what the solution is - for you! The whole notion of dieting to lose weight is based on a false paradigm. That paradigm tries to address the symptom of the problem, not the cause. In The Diet Fallacies, you will discover what the real cause of your weight problem is, and what you can do about it. Isn't going on a diet to lose weight doing the same thing again that you've always done - and expecting different results? Find out how to get off this merry-go-round, and listen to The Diet Fallacies today!

SUCH VALUABLE INFORMATION

Would you consider the audio edition of The Diet Fallacies to be better than the print version?

I am an avid audio book listener over print book reader because I am an audio learner. I find them to be wonderful company or as a great escape mechanism for road travel or while performing mundane household chores. The book like Diet Fallacies provided me with company, knowledge and hope.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Diet Fallacies?

Diet Fallacies is a book I have been waiting for. Author, Al Davis challenges the Standard American Diet (SAD) and points to it being the cause of our nation's health crisis. It is so exciting to me that more and more people are sharing similar stories so that perhaps during the next generations' life, we might see the food industry be accountable for the devastation caused by Genetic Engineering of our plant food sources as well as the havoc caused on our health by the GMO feed given to the livestock that is part of our food chain.

Which character – as performed by Randal Schaffer – was your favorite?

Randall Schaffer performed an engaging presentation of Diet Fallacies and his first-hand narration of Al Davis's journey to the successful creation of healthy habits to overcome food addictions and weight loss seemed a natural and believable fit.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If I were to make a documentary film of this book, the tag line would be Save Your Body --Combat the Food Industry -- Keep America Solvent.

Any additional comments?

You hardly talk to anybody these day's young or old that is not experiencing muscular, allergic or intestinal side affects from what I call the center aisle syndrome of our supermarkets. Medical conditions are rampant and all of them point back to our food sources. Way to go Mr. Davis.

A well narrated and easy to listen to book

I bought this book after already owning the kindle version. I must say I enjoyed the audio even more. This is a well produced book that you can listen to as if you were having a discussion with the author. I wanted to converse about the subject many times. I read a lot of books on the well being subject and I think this book is the best for people suffering addictive behaviors especially towards food. It changes the way you eat rather than giving you some short term diet. Al Davis is going to take you on a journey he walked himself to avoid mistakes he did many years before. Bravo Mr. Davis!

Condescending view point on what worked for him

Thru the whole thing he talks very condescending and talks vegan as the only solution. He is out of touch and is peddling his ideas based on an addiction to alcohol as the solution to food. Skip this book unless you like being talked down to by someone with questionable research.
