My Family

How did the Author get into my mother's house? It was so accurate, I actually cringed in some parts.

Good instructions but poor explanations

The book had a lot of wisdom on what to do but I felt it lacked an explanation on how to do it. It made the comment of not taking things personally but did tell you how to not take that hurtful action personally.

A Good, Solid Listen

My attention was drawn to this great title... Living Successfully With Screwed Up People. But the book has much more substance than I had anticipated, and a little more heavy (emotionally) in areas than I would have cared for. There is great advice for how to deal with screwed up people of all kinds, whether it be your family, work colleague, or partner, and the situations in which they are giving you difficulty. I especially enjoyed the advice on humour and self-control.

A good deal of the book reflects back at the reader, asking if perhaps the reader is the screwed up person in these situations, and giving advice on how to deal with fixing that. A good listen!

Good Listen (with a warning)

I liked this book and it is full of good advice. The book is far from concise with many examples and stories. The pledge at the end along with the last chapter really bring it all together. The narration is excellent.
WARNING - there are repeated references to the deaths of children. I was thinking this odd until the author disclosed in later chapters that her first book was on this topic and she frequently lectures on the subject. After the first story or two I couldn't take it and fast forwarded past those stories.

Very well written and read.

This is a very insightful work with so much information. I have the book and have underlined almost every word. I found myself listening and rewinding to listen again to the same chapters , those that I thought would take longer for me to grasp. I really like the benefit of being able to complete a book in a few listening sessions rather than trying to find the extended time to sit and read and grasp the material. Thanks for publishing this excellent resource.
Sincerely,
Karen
