oooook

I've read a lot of this authors book and love them but this one was just ok. now I understand were T-Roc comes from in her b****series. He is really something else and does just about anything to get Tyler like set his own cousin up. Tyler is just a young girl look for attention that her family didn't give her so she found it in the wrong men.

The voice-overs a bit much

Story is okay, but I can't get over the voice-overs. They need to have a man to do male voices.

Good book

This was a good book but Tyler really got on my nerves. This girl just keeps going from bad situation to worse. The narrator is ok but sometimes there are pauses that make you think the sound went out. Overall an ok listen.

It was so so

So so annoying. This girl was her own worse enemy. It was kind of hard for me to have compassion for her when she kept doing things that she knew she should not be doing like sleeping around with cousins amongst other things.
And there was something about the way the story was told that seemed very juvenile. It didn't help that the narrator had these long awkward pauses it didn't seem like she was telling a story just seemed like she was reading the story.

This book has every man painted with the same brush

I’ll get straight to the point, every male in this book was portrayed as abusive, controlling and a womanizer. From the ones with money and power to the ones without. I’m a male and I was irritated with the way males are portrayed. But I did finish the book with hope she’ll eventually find a male friend or partner that she was compatible with. I’m still trying to make sense of what was her dirty little secret, which probably was that she truly hated men and herself and was just like her mother in the long run. I don’t know but I hope no woman ever went through so many men and all of them was the same. Your better off with another woman in that case.

My nerves

iiKane was amazing to me with narrating. Although the story was pissing me off the beginning and middle of it. The end made up for it. Tyler mother is the blame for how she turned out.

Love Love Love

I love all of Deja King books so like this rest this one is no different! I love the characters, the real life situations and the plot. The reader I Kane was great too. This was my 1st audio book and just like paper copy I couldn't put it down for long listening on my ride to and from work, while cooking dinner and putting my children down for their nap made it more convenient. Good book but needs narration editing

The narrator was really good on this book but there were some super long pauses in the editing that made me think my reader stopped working a few times. Somebody really needs to go back in and fix that. I read this out of sequence, but it was still a good book. I was getting drained from all of the terrible abusive choices Tyler kept making however. She needed real therapy.

Suspense

Kept me engaged. Couldn’t stop listening as the plots kept exploding like pop pop pop!

I was so over the heroine.

She went from one abusive man to the other. There are many trigger warnings in this book that should have been warned about before hand. This book was very good but at times it upset me very much. Her mother was repulsive and her older sister was obviously the brains of the operation. She went and got her a degree so that she could hold her own. Tyler still never really got it. At the end she still was chasing a man after so many bad relationships. Uh! The sad part about this is there are women who go through the same stuff she did.
