Publisher's Summary

Jaime Primak Sullivan, a Jersey-bred, tough-as-nails PR maven - and unlikely transplant in an upscale suburb of Birmingham, Alabama - has spent her entire life crossing the line: whether she's pushing the boundaries of what proper Southern ladies consider to be "polite behavior" or literally traversing the Mason-Dixon line in the name of love. She isn't afraid to say what everyone is thinking when it comes to love, sex, friendship, and many other topics that are all too often sugar-coated in polite Southern company. But when a meet-cute scenario right out of a Nora Ephron movie upends her life, Jaime finds herself a reluctant "knish out of water", smack-dab in the Deep South, starting a life with her new husband, the perfect Southern gentleman.

In The Southern Education of a Jersey Girl, Jaime shares hard-learned lessons on Southern etiquette, deep-fried foods, college football, and matters of the heart while living in the heart of Dixie, with her quintessential ball-busting and side-splitting Jersey twist.

Critic Reviews

"Sullivan's self-deprecating humor makes her a comfortable, chatty companion.... It's hard to resist Sullivan's spunky, outgoing personality." ( Kirkus)

This book was recommended by Audible. So, I took the bait. I loved this book. I especially enjoyed the author reading her own book with her Jersey accent.

Absolutely fantastic entertaining and wonderful!!!

Even though I pre-ordered this book I just didn't have a chance to sit down and read it being a mother of three and working two full-time jobs and owning a horse so I bought it off of audible.com and listened to it on my way to and from work...and then I ended up bringing in it in the house with me and listening to it until the book was over!!! I loved and appreciated the honest story of her life and also the fact that she was the boys I could hear her emotion much better than if another boys had narrated her book... I'm a fan for life thank you Jaime for this gift

YOU NEED TO READ (LISTEN) TO THIS!

I am a huge fan of Cawfeetalk! I love this woman-she is so real and hysterical. I laughed out loud and sobbed all within the first few chapters. She's real and no bullshit. The whole time she's talking about her & Michaels dynamic I kept thinking, oh my gosh this is me and my husband. Then when I realized that we were both Libras a light bulbs went off! Jaime you are my soul sister. Get this book, you won't be disappointed

This book made me laugh, made me cry and made me realize how truly wonderful differences in people are and how to recognize the beauty that is difference. Jaime, as always, is refreshingly open and honest. If you are wanting to meet a friend through her words, grab The Southern Education of a Jersey girl and read it, then enjoy your coffee and relish the learning from your new friend in Cawfeetawk!

Knowing Jaime before morning ☕

I have been a fan of Jamie's now for five years on Facebook & Instagram. I felt like as the book went on, she got less descriptive and was rushing to get through to the end? Maybe it was just me. I hope she will write another book about her travels for work and juggling it , kids and Michael. This book really shows you the "Southern proper side" of her. Her narrative is what shows you the most calm, no "F" bombing,non-loud cheering Jaime . Totally gives you a great insight of how her husband's relationship is. You will understand her kiddos better as well with the background of each. The common thread I got from this is she is human and needs us just as much as we need her and her love of her belles. On social media, people tend to lash out at her for whatever reason and I always say, "if you don't know her story, keep it movin'. " This book is great if you want to know her story before commenting on social media. Everyone has a story, y'all just don't know what it is. Enjoy!!!
