Publisher's Summary

The Red Bottom Bandits may be the world's most fashion-forward gang of masked outlaws. They're the talk of DC for their daring robberies and fly gear. And their latest caper is penned by Ashley Antoinette (of Ashley & JaQuavis) at her sultry, streetwise best.

When the innocent, naïve Gucci recognizes ringleader Sunny Raegan during a holdup, that's her "in" with the Bandits. Knowing she's got a lot more beauty than brains, Gucci sees the gang as her meal ticket. More likely, they'll be her ticket to the morgue!

The Bandits may be lawless, but they play by a few simple rules: Get in and get out, shoot first and ask questions later, never leave without the money, and innocent people don't get hurt. But it's only a matter of time before all these rules get broken - and that's when Gucci gets caught!

If there's one thing a girl needs, it's a little help from her friends. But her "friends" have skipped town without giving her a second thought. And Sunny is distracted by her new baby and her violent ex-lover. So Gucci's on her own. She's on trial for her life, and she must decide whether to snitch on the girls - or take the fall all by herself. Whichever she chooses, it may be her death sentence.

Gloom !

I'm just tired of the gloomy ending every time. I expected it but I still was surprised with the outcome. I still love this author though and her work.

ok

pros
another chance to experience new work
relationship between navid and reagan
display of loyalty, compassion (at the beginning of each girls relationship with each other
narrator iikane has a pleasant voice

cons
another dismal ending
another sequel to wait for as of my listening date its been 4 or 5 years I believe since this book was first published
narrator iikane's delivery style-stopping in mid sentence long enough for you to think the audio stopped

random
what was the reason behind naming the book after a small supportive player?
Can one of this author's characters have a decent ending? If they are not handicapped or killed, their lives are so miserable its unbelievable. Pain doesn't always make for good drama.

I’m so mad at the ending!!! The narrator brings the story to life I was clenching my teeth feeling every moment. Why did you have to do Reagan like that?

I absolutely LOVE this story AND this author

First and foremost, Ashley Antoinette writes some of the most authentic and amazing stories ever. This story definitely stands alone. I wish it had ended differently, but as a writer myself I know that the story ends where it wants to end. And who knows, maybe this story will decide to continue one day. Lastly, iiKane is, hands down, one of the best narrators I've heard since becoming an Audible listener. The way she gives a clear distinction between the many characters is astonishing. The first time I heard her narrate (Ethic) I had to check several times to make sure she was narrating alone. She has narrated many of Ash's books, but this story and iiKane are soulmates. AMAZING job!!

I hated the ending!

It was a real life story that could happen to anyone especially a black women. This was an awesome storyline until the ending. I hate cliff hangers!
