Good writing but too Cliché

The depth of writing is cool but the "internal" monologs got too long and drawn out at times. As far as the storyline, we get it with all the broken women! I had to stop listening at intervals because all the self-loathing, fake confidence, wrongful blaming, misplaced anger, and the way they spoke to him because of their decisions. This trope of blk women not feeling worthy of a good man or not knowing how to respect one is tiresome. For a typical urban romance, it's a good book.

What a story!!!!

This was an interesting but good listen.  It took a few chapters to get used to the narrators.  I almost was about to be done with it, because the narration of Jahad with that Haitian accent was throwing me off.  However, I understood that he was playing the part.  Jahad appeared to be an amazing man that was forced to grow up fast, since he had a father that practically left him but reunited with him later in life to later be dismissed from his life.  His attempt to be a good husband to Leighton went unappreciated, which was the reason for him to step out or technically pushed to step out and right into the arms of his soulmate, Cienna.  Their initial encounter ooh wee, then how they were apart and that pull back towards one another--> a connection like no other.  When the moment was right, their time for each other was right, and what was meant for them happened.  Good to see in the end, there was some happiness.  It was one of those stories where there was the shady best friend, the hype best friend, the estranged family members, and even those that showed some care and concern.  You can find yourself in somewhat of a similar situation in some portions of it.   It's a long one, but you will want to listen to see how it all turns out.

All the feels!

This story was hella intense, hella tragic, hella erotic and Hella dysfunctional. OMG! This one is my favorite. Mr Baptiste will have you drunk in love. Smh.

Amazing

This is one of the best books I've read. Great story line. Awesome readers! I definitely see myself listen to this one over and over!

started 2024 off the right way!!

I enjoyed this book and the depth/girth of the characters' experiences across such complex emotions and topics. this book was full of unexpected feels, but the author and narrators had me welcoming each and every one with poise and excitement. looking forward to exploring more of the catalog from this NTM author and one of the narrators.
