It’s a no from me.

I always hear everyone hype Cary Hite for his narration, but his voice seems so draining to me. When I saw there would be a male and female narrator, I figured it might be better being as though Cary’s voice wouldn’t be the only one... I was wrong. Nicole’s voice sounds just as dead as Cary’s and she sometimes sounds like Siri. I was so annoyed, but still tried to push through.

Besides the narrators voices putting me to sleep, the story wasn’t great either. I had a hard time getting into it because the story was so choppy and moving too fast. Not to mention, the voices Nicole chose for the male character reminded me of a old country pimp instead of a young go getter, and that totally ruined my image, as I like to use voice/tone to give me a image of what the characters would look like in real life. I didn’t even make it to chapter 7. I wish I could get my money back. Will not be finishing and would not recommend.

Toxic

This story is soooo degrading. I had to stop listening to it. The story starts off by describing Rozalyn as smart. Then it goes to depicting her as the stupidest female on earth by still begging a man to love her that talks to her like she’s the scum of the earth, beats her, and his obsessively possessive of her. This author seems to think very little of women.

Too much woman beating

Yay is constantly beating up on Rosalyn and she just goes back. He is manipulative and narcissistic. Very hard to listen to that story line.

Really good

This is really good and gripping, but be ready for a lot of violence. It’s quite dark. Also very disappointed that I could not find the next book on audible.
