Standing by her husband's side to make him the envy of his associates is a day in the life, but behind closed doors, their relationship becomes cold, and the abuse that she encounters has her looking for a way out.

When she meets a young thug named Kalil, he opens her eyes to a world she never knew. Afraid of the repercussions of her actions, she avoids Kalil at all costs, but his relentless pursuit makes their love inevitable.

it was okay

The characters and plot set the stage for a great story. It could have been told with more depth and substance, especially since there were two authors. Overall it seemed rushed. Still, I enjoyed the story.

LOVED IT!!

I read the hard copy of tbis hook about 6 or 7 years ago. I loved it then and I love the audio version too! iiKane brought this book to life. It was like everything was happening right in front of you. I also read a moth to a flame by these authors at about the same time frame. This book is worth every cent/credit A MYST READ

I'm so disappointed

Not worth the price. Short book but the story was fast and predictable and disappointing. It's like they had to meet a deadline so no real effort was put in it like they did with their other books. The ending was just like a train wreck. Just no... I'm getting a refund. Maybe I will support future projects but not sure at this out. I think you two should compromise the soft romantic side with street tragedy grimey hoodside...just an Audible- kindle goodreads Google reader who buys over 30+ books in less than a month when they are well put together.

Another ONE!! BRAVO!

I absolutely love this writing duo. This book is outstanding just like all the rest of their books. Worth every bit of the money. Even this narrator is growing in me.

Predictable

*Spoiler* With the exception of the writers writing themselves into the book and lead character hanging himself in the end (which was dumb and made no sense to the storyline), the book was predictable from beginning to end. iiKane is the only reason I continued to listen.

I wish I could get my money back

Literally written at 3rd grade reading level. Stereotypical storyline.... Moments of my life wasted. I'm all for supporting minority authors, but this just sucks.

Why are the authors in the story?

I enjoy your books however this one made no sense at all! I get that all of your books end with someone dying however this story had lose ends unless you plan to make a part 2. You dont explain why you recieved money! why did he hang his self? it was stupid to kill off the wife! and why was the mob even in this story.... will be asking for my money back!

Not my favorite

The narrator, 10 Stars!!!
I guess I didn't want Khalil to die. I wanted him to be the next Carter Diamond.
