All of that went out of the window, though, when she met the one that allowed her to be the ride or die chick that she had always fantasized about being.

Treasure isn't the only promiscuous woman in this story, however, because Heaven eventually succumbs to the wooing of a man that wants to treat her far better than her ain't-sh*t-husband. She knows that Ross deserves her infidelity. He had never been loyal or faithful to her. However, one thing he had never done was cheat on Heaven with someone in their circle.

In this tale of lust, lies, and mayhem, Heaven fights with the feelings that she has for her side dude while Treasure basks in hers. That is, until all hell breaks loose. These two side dudes that Heaven and Treasure have fallen for pretended as if they could play second to another man...until their feelings got in the way. Then egos clash, bonds are broken, and, with two beasts like Vegas and Ross, a life is lost in this group's tight-knit circle...all because these ladies chose wrong.

good book!

Performance -
Not a fan of how they did not rap or sing the lyrics to the songs. They spoke the lyrics and it didnt translate well. I would have liked if the male narrator would have only read the male characters and the female narrator read the womens.

Story-
I immediately went searching for the 2nd book and it was nowhere to be found on audible. I thought the story was not as predictable as most hood books and the characters were all interesting. I most liked the complexity of Roosevelt's character. Can not wait to read the next book.

Awesome story and overall performance!

In the beginning, Treasure was breathy but as the story played out, the quality sounded better and didn’t sound as breathy. She sounded great and did an awesome job with all the chapters she had. The narrator who performed as Vegas is a new one for me and sounds amazing and I will be looking for books under the new narrators I’m not familiar with b/c of this performance. I am already a big fan of Cary Hite and Nicole Small-they never disappoint. Everything sounded better from EVERY ONE of the narrators as the story played out. Great book by the author. I just bought the 2nd book and can’t wait to review that as well!

Excellent read!

Started off slow but once it picks up it's hard to put down. Highly recommended!

Count your days Ross!!

This book gave me life! Jessica Watkins is my best hands down! I swear I can NOT listen to a book unless its Nicole Smalls or Cary Hites so I was satisfied. The other voice overs were great as well. The book itself was great! I felt like I was there watching it like a movie. So suspenseful and I love the cliffhanger. I've read the second book as well so I will write a review on that one. The title definitely served its purpose!

This was a page turner!!

I love the storyline and the narration was spot on! I did not like that there was not a resolution at the end. I get part 2, but didn’t want a cliffhanger at the end.

Needs a real ending

I Felt like the performance was great. The different voices made the story come alive but if I spend 5 to 6 hours listening I don't want to feel like you got tired of writing and you just want to put the pen down. Give us a little more so we know exactly whose life ended. An arm falls out the body bag with a recognizable piece of jewelry or something

Left me wanting more

An awesome listen. I am downloading book 2 as soon as I finish this review.
