When their parents are discovered brutally murdered in a ditch, Kenya and London are left orphaned and forced to navigate the unforgiving streets of Detroit. They might be identical twins, but they are as different as night and day. While one of them fights relentlessly to make it out of the ghetto, the other eagerly embraces true hood life and everything their parents believed in - selling drugs, living fast, and even dying young (if it means getting paid!).

Kenya is coldhearted and crazy, just like her Pops. Nothing is off-limits, and no one else matters - not even her sister, if she gets in her way. Blood may be thicker than water, but in one sister's eyes, cash is king - her only true family, and most definitely the head of her conniving household!

The book overall was good. Exempt for the ending. I hope a part two comes out. The book is worth the credit.

Wow

Just don’t like how it skips and makes me feel like it’s been fast forwarded. So I rewind and realize they made a mistake. A few of them. I guess they can’t delete and re-record. So they chop it up. Idk…

Great story also predictable

I am amazed, entertained, and excited. The writing was great. each character was well developed and the timeline for the story allowed me a chance to get to know each character well. Great book, ready to read the second one.

Where’s the next book

I can't say that I felt like this narrator was the right choice for this book given that it's essentially about 2 women for all but the first chapter. I also didn't feel like he was particularly astute at inflection and portraying the required emotion for a scene. At least not for this book. Maybe he's better at others. It was a pretty lengthy story that I enjoyed, but found myself not understanding Kenya's decisions most of the time. Especially keeping London a secret. Anyway, I guess if the sequel comes out, I'll end up getting it eventually too. Hopefully with a different narrator
