YAY US

Yea the story line wasn’t all drama filled but that’s what I liked, it showed black women and men in a good light. The fact that the ladies were so mature and handled their relationships with love and maturity was inspiring. Not all African American books have to be about a good girl getting with a gangster. So to the author thank you for the breath of fresh air and for the reader great job loved the voice!

Interesting group of ladies

This story was a breath of fresh air from the synopsis. The author made it seem like these ladies were a conniving bunch of "frienemies" when that is the total opposite. Each lady represents someone that every lady knows. a female friend or associate in every ladies' life. iiKane was a great addition as I could see the story playing out in front of me because she read so well and changed voices often. I was glad that Susan recognized her mean cocaine habit but I was upset that mother swept that rape under the rug all for the love of money. That is a trait that kills so many black women - being money hungry that they fail to see the hurt they cause along the way.
