Publisher's Summary

The night Army Specialist Merlin Mills’s identical twin brother, Gavin, slept with his wife, everything changed. Now Merlin must come to grips with the fact that Cojo may be carrying his brother’s child. For Gina Meadows, Merlin’s mother, it’s a brutal reminder of the dysfunction that has always plagued her family. Tension escalates when Gina pops up pregnant after a night of drunken revelry, and an icy finger points to her deviant son as the father. The drama that ensues forces them all to take stock of their lives.

Hurt, angry, and confused, Merlin is caught up in a complex struggle between yesterday and today; between a mistress who wants to give him real love and a wife who doesn’t know how; between nasty lies and secrets, and their life-altering revelations.

In his struggle to mend a marriage that is as fragile as a cobweb, Merlin learns that the past, present, and future are tangled in a knot that he can never unravel.

great story

The story line was excellent. I hope there'll be a part 3. I didn't like the narrator(s). They barely had any feelings/emotions when reading 😕. Please don't use them again 😕.

I cannot

The first book was intriguing but I can’t make it through chapter one of this. The narrator displays little skill to captivate. I have fallen asleep twice already.

Beyond sick …..

And frankly this book /series is insulting to women of color.. ( cus yes I read the first Snapped too in my defense they were freebies😑) I honestly wonder if the author is truly a woman it’s insulting to portray black women so low *possible SPOILER * in this book and the first, RAPES take place and no one calls it rape and apparently it’s ok as long as the D was good… RIDICULOUS!! a woman isn’t violated ( whether she was tricked, unconscious etc) and feel conflicted because the sex was good nor does a woman who raised a male from infancy become aroused when she accidentally sees him naked.. Every woman in this book will apparently lose their minds/morals behind D*%*!!!!! again RIDICULOUS!! Another issue is the men go from normal, mature emotionally stable men, to men that will strike a woman in 2.5 seconds this book is so unrealistic and insulting Narrator is ok not the best but def not the worst

left

Loved this twisty story..It went left though with Tabitha..It was a true shocker but I am still smh at it..the other characters were left hanging..How in the hell did The twins father get away all those years with that bullshit? Gina never once thought to check after him when he was out of town all those years?? That for me was a whole ENTIRE NO..not believable..at all..Gavin was horrible..for no reason..

This was a urban twister

OK this lady the other snapped on this particular book she did her thing she brought it all together and end it. However that person reading it took hours before you could really get into their voice and on some of the characters that were me and you could barely understand anything the person was saying even with Gina you could barely understand what was being said initially but in the end I love the story.

Great sequel

Enjoyed the characters and the storyline. Would not be a bad idea to add book 3 to see how the characters progressed or regressed. This book encourages me to follow author McKinney in her future efforts.

This book was very interesting

I actually really like this book. I thought it was interesting, on predictable, and very suspenseful. I would definitely recommend to a friend
