Publisher's summary

For anyone who's ever been on the receiving end of an unsolicited dick pic....

He has the muscles of Adonis, an ego bigger than the sun, and a very clear desire to get back in my pants. Which would be fantastic if he weren't a SEAL and I wasn't a criminal.

Although, I prefer the term avenger. I'm a hacktivist, cleaning up the cesspool of cyberspace one scam artist and troll at a time, and I sometimes bend a few rules to get justice done.

He's a military man with abs of glory, sworn to uphold the letter of the law no matter its shortcomings. And if he'd known who - or what - I was, I doubt he would've banged me at my best friend's wedding reception. Or come back for more.

Which is why he's now the only thing standing between me and one very pissed-off internet troll who's figured out where I live. I'm pretty sure he'll get me out of this alive - and quite satisfied, thank you very much - but I'm also pretty sure this mission will end with me in handcuffs.

And not the good kind of handcuffs.

Contains mature themes.

Loved seeing Eloise get her story

Narration was spot on. Love that the narrators didn’t try to soften Eloise’s personality. I have always seen her as a tough girl that had a soft side and Pippa did a great job writing her story, and the narrators did a great job portraying her as such. This has all the humor and feelings that all of Pippa’s books have. Loved seeing more of Parker’s family along with all the other band members. Loved this book!!!

Super Cute and lots of laughs

I had a lot of fun listening to this one. The story grabbed me and the humour was threaded all the way through keeping me on my toes. I never knew what kind of chaos Eloise would get up to next or how Rhett would react.

Teddy and Maxine were amazing to listen to (as always). The way Maxine brought the crazy fun (even when totally freaked out) from Eloise was perfection. Teddy was alpha and controlling and protective and caring and , and, and!!! Every time Rhett thought Eloise was adorable made me melt.

So Funny I Cried When Laughing

I loved this performance, Teddy never disappoints but totally surprised with Maxine Mitchell. I usually won’t read it if she’s narrating but decided to give it a chance with Teddy always doing so good. I think her voice style finally found a perfect match in Eloise. I laughed so many times that I cried and one time it caught me so off guard that I snorted water that I was drinking! I loved the personalities of Rhett and Eloise especially that they were trying so hard to hide who they really were. Found it kind of refreshing that the Navy Seal played hard to get in order to break Eloise down. I also enjoyed that there wasn’t any real or mistaken cheating involved.

Unique main characters

This story took some getting used to because no one ever does what is expected. It was very enjoyable, if you suspend belief and really lean into the uniqueness and quirkiness of the main female character.

There’s someone for everyone even if you’re crazy and quirky

Rhett and Eloise are perfect together in all their weird quirky save the world bada**ness. Their weirdness is what makes this love story so great because aren’t we all a little weird and a little afraid that our weird might make us unlovable? It doesn’t though. Teddy Hamilton and Maxine Mitchell do a fantabulous job bringing Rhett and Eloise is life. Rhett is a Navy Seal currently on recruiting duty after an error with his team. He’s out of sorts and worried about his team. Eloise is independently wealthy and user her hacking skills to stand up to jerks in cyberspace. Eloise is also good friends with and a band mate of Rhett’s sister. Following a wedding hookup, when one of Eloise’s cyber vigilante choices result in real danger Rhett pushes his way into the middle of it to protect Eloise. The connection between Rhett and Eloise grows weirdly and organically through each hilarious and slightly dangerous part of their adventure until their HEA is a foregone conclusion. But it is a wild, hilarious and at times cringy journey that will give you all the feels - you’ll laugh, swoon, cry, cringe, cheer, groan, roll your eyes, and happy sigh. I love the Girl Band series.

warm and fuzzy

Another home run without any baseball for Pippa Grant. Superhero Seal and Superhero Hacker, both a little bit of crazy and perfect for each other. The narrators were perfect as well. I wouldn't mind some Ass of Glory.

Typically excellent Pippa Grant book

Same humor and style as her best books. Definitely worth listening to! And the readers are of course the best.
