Publisher's summary

Imagine being in love with your best friend's brother. Then . . . keeping it a secret for years.

Ridiculously charming, a total player and a hockey super star . . . Reed Davidson has been the boy next door who's had my heart for as long as I can remember.

He was the ultimate bad boy, and I was just his sister's shy best friend.

But when Reed's world is suddenly flipped upside down and he gets custody of his nephew, I'm the only one who can help.

I shouldn't have offered to come on the road with them, but Reed wasn't cut out to be a single dad and I knew he needed help. I tried to hide my feelings for him, but the two of us, the cutest kid on the planet, and a long hockey season were a recipe for disaster.

Reed was used to getting everything he ever wanted, and this time . . . He wanted me. Only now, the stakes are higher, and my heart is the one on the line.

Contains mature themes.

Great story

I have not read anything from Maren Moore so this was quite a surprise. I really like this can’t say that I like the ending but how smart is that to leave you wanting more by this ending? Of course, narration was awesome. His voice was so calm and serene that it was soothing in a way. Emma Wilder was amazing as always.

Such a sweet story

Holland and Reed's story was so lovable 🥰.

The performance of Alex Kydd and Emma Wilder was so perfect for this story, I felt all the emotions, the love, the sadness sometimes and the determination. It was really really good.

Reed is a hockey player, and a playboy. But one day, he learns that he’ll have to raise his nephew that he’d never met.
Holland is know Reed for years and she's best friend with Reed's little sister and she's in love with him since she met him. So when Reed ask her to help him with Evan she doesn’t want to accept, cause it would mean being close to him while they travelling for his hockey games.

Rules has to be made between them cause it seems that Reed finally had noticed Holland in ab other way.
Evan is such a cute three years old boy mostly with his octopus. I love how he pronouce Reed's name 😂 (he can't pronounce the "r" but it's a "w" instead 😂 so I let you imagined).

I love when you feel the tension on a Hockey games but in this book this was missing, but above that I really appreciate this book.

Fun hockey romance, Best Friends Brother Trope

The performance on this one was great, absolutely love Emma Wilder and Alex Kydd. The story itself was okay, not very deep and a little predictable. But overall enjoyable.

LOVE REED

Audio Review: Emma WIlder is one of my all time favorite female narrators and she brings such a beautiful vulnerability to Holland. And Alex Kydd is the perfect Reed- to deliciously captures the heart and soul of my favorite hockey DILF. The energy, the charism, the intensity- YUUUUM. As someone who read the book first, I found i liked the audio even more- the vocal performances really bring some additional layers to this story.

Story Review:
Sugary sweet and deliciously sexy! Maren Moore sensationally sparkles in this best friend's brother, single dad hockey heartfelt romance. Swoony feels, quirky fun, charming chemistry, and loads of steam- it's totally pucking adorable!

Newspaper Nanny fans rejoice- REED is here! And he's hands down my favorite Maren Moore hero to date. As the result of unexpected and tragic circumstances, Reed finds himself the newly minted single dad to precious little Evan. But his bachelor lifestyle isn't the only barrier to this new challenge- Reed's full time hockey career keeps him busy, and the road, more than ideal, especially when trying to form a relationship with sweet little Evan. Serendipitously, he knows his sister's best friend is in need of some extra income- and he soon discovers she's a bit of an Evan-whisperer, second only to Pickles the octopus, of course, so she's the perfect travel companion for baby Evan. Only challenge is that he's recently started to see the luscious Holland in a more than friendly way- and little does he know, Holland has crushed on him since childhood. But Reed's a player, in more ways than one, and his sister Emery might not take too kindly to these two canoodling. But now that they're spending lots of time together- and a delicious arrangement is born.

Reed is everything I wanted as more. We got the level headed, charismatic, affable man we saw in NN, but we also get a man with complex layers and some really well written character growth. Confronting some of his own baggage while learning to be an unexpected father sparks some really wonderful introspection- we see Reed rethink his priorities and desires, and we see him let go of some past pains. All catalyzed by his love for Evan, and his burgeoning feelings for Holland. AND HE IS SO DREAMY, Y'ALL!! Kind, fun-loving, generous, and compassionate. He has a big ole heart- and anytime we see him bonding with Evan I felt my ovaries exploding. But its his connection with Holland that had the pages turning- these friends turned secret lovers that enchanted me completely.

Holland is everything I love in a book heroine. She's kind, gentle, a bit sassy, and very loving. She blossoms in this story- finds her voice, learns to prioritize herself and trust in others, and she truly shines as a heroine. Her journey is quieter than Reed's, but not less meaningful, and I simply ADORE her.

Their chemistry is so sweet- and with the right dash of heat. Reed's got a dirty mouth- AND I AM HERE FOR IT. But I also loved how they opened up their hearts to each other, and gently evolved their relationship into something more intimate emotionally. Their banter and flirtation is both charming and authentic, and I just swooned and sighed left and right at their cuteness. And, the drama is pretty low angst- so you just feel good.

Maren has really hit her stride - and it's clear the Totally Pucked series is going to be a new favorite. Swoony alpha hockey stars and the sassy but vulnerable heroines that enchant them? I NEED ALL OF THEM! Sweet, sincere, and feel-good romantic magic. Maren reminds us love comes where we least expect it- but when you find it, well, change on the fly- and dive right in. Because nothing is as sweet.

Entertaining if a little cheesy

I enjoyed this book and will read the rest of the series. My only complaint is that the main issue could have easily been avoided by communicating; but I guess it wouldn’t be a rom com without a little cheese. Very hot smut scenes.

Super cute !

Totally love this hockey story by this author new to me ..
it was really touching how Reed took in his orphaned toddler nephew Evan despite his non existent relationship with his sister from another family his father left him his sister and mom for .
Although having personal issues with his father abandonment and whether he should forgive him or move on .
Evan is super sweet especially when he tries to navigate being a good parent to his little nephew and even when he was falling in love with Holland without realizing it .
Story is super sweet with the right amount of angst and spice mixed with a tiny bit of drama .
The narrators Alex Kid and Emma Wilder with the sexy male imitation and kid voice did amazingly well in bringing the story to life . I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook!

REED
“ our love is a lot like our favorite hockey term , Change on the fly, you don’t stop, you change what you have to and finish up the game “.

Definitely 💯

Hmmmm Hot single parent + hockey player?? I'M IN

First: the tropes of this book? Amazing!! Who doesn't love a single parent? Who doesn't lvoe a brother's best friends? And a hockey player? TRY TO MIX ALL THE 3!!!

This is such a quick read and so funny!! The performance was on point and I enjoyed every single second of it!!
Def picking up the others in the series!
