Publisher's summary

“Shh,” he whispered next to my ear. It wasn’t an urgent plea to be quiet. It was a command, delivered with a slight thrust of his hips. He was about to melt my La Perla thong right off me.

Cameron Whitbury is used to engineering her way out of any problem. But someone is after her, and she doesn’t know who or why. Throw in the threat of a sex scandal and the frustrating antics of the entitled son of her company’s founder, and she might be in over her head.

But sacrifice her privacy to an overprotective bodyguard? No thanks. She doesn’t need a six-foot-five, motorcycle-riding, square-jawed, hazel-eyed man-beast shadowing her every move.

Jude Ellis is ready to retire from the cloak and dagger stuff to live a normal life. He doesn’t need another client. Not even one with coppery-red hair and mile-long legs who looks hot AF in a sexy pair of heels.

To appease her worried friends, Cameron hires Jude as her bodyguard. And despite their feisty banter and their rampant - and totally inappropriate - sex fantasies, they’re both determined to keep it professional.

But as the danger to Cameron escalates, the heat simmering between them just might combust.

Author’s note: Big wall-of-man hero with a fierce (and growly) protective streak. Confident and snarky heroine. All the banter. Sex in a closet. And a daring rescue with a big, heart squishing HEA.

great book, excellent narration

I am a fan of Claire Kingsley, and I have to admit that I read all of her books and buy all of her audio because they are always great. Her stories are well-developed, her main characters are driven and compassionate, and she fills her books with supporting characters, settings and situations that leave you longing for more.

Jude and Cam are a great couple. They are always real with each other, and their connection is beautiful to read.

Oh the banter!

Joe Arden can growl, he can speak sweet nothings, he can say shockingly dirty things – and I will eat it all up with a spoon! His switches between the voices of characters are so flawless that I sometimes forget he is voicing them all. Desiree Ketchum is such a fierce Cameron. I am a redhead engineer and Cameron holds a special place in my heart. I was so pleased to hear her voice come to life. The banter – OH THE BANTER! Hearing it made it even more flirty, fun, and hot than Claire wrote it. I read the Bluewater series as it was coming out. It was such an exciting time, with these four authors coming together for a series with these powerful female characters. Mogul and the Muscle was my favorite of the Bluewater series and listening to the story makes me want to go back and read the whole series again!

<A great, funny and swoony read

This is a great series to be reading. I have read a couple of the authors previously and enjoyed their independent books, but having them combine forces is a treat. I'm looking forward to read the rest of the series. Not just because of the authors but because of the characters. Great laughs, swoony men, strong independent women who have made it in a mans world and a crazy neighborhood.

Cameron and Jude have amazing chemistry from the moment they meet. Cameron is a wealthy independent woman running an aerospace company. She is smart, sassy and loves shoes and doesn't need a man or so she thinks. Being a high powered businesswoman puts her in the spotlight, good and bad and in this case bad but she doesn't need backup, right? Her friends have other ideas and enter Jude stage right please and thank you. Yum. Jude. 🔥🔥 A man looking to retire from the spy game but getting drawn back in again. Because whether Cameron likes it or not, she needs him.

This was a great book with many twists. Love the world that was created and look forward to reading the rest of the series. The narrators did a fabulous job with characters.

Jude & Cameron

Cam is forced by her BFF's in getting a Body Guard after being mugged, what she hadn't expected was Jude, he was some serious eye candy with muscles galore. It didn't take long for Jude to realize that she was being targeted and his job protecting her gets more difficult.Their attraction ignites as the threat gets stronger, and some sexy hot romps turn into some strong feelings. The story gets better and Joe Arden with his low, husky and sexy voice keeps you wanting more.

An absolute must listen!!

I love this series so freaking much!! I read it first in print, so I couldn't wait to listen to it. It was just as amazing in audio! I started listening, and even knowing what was coming, I had a hard time stopping for anything! Cameron and Jude are so HOT!! I absolutely adore that they are both such strong characters. Cameron is fiercely intelligent and independent, and Jude is an alpha protector (with a heart of gold) through and through.

I loved watching Cameron and Jude come together, because neither of them really expected it. They weren't really looking for a relationship, but their sparks couldn't be ignored. They are both phenomenal characters on their own, and together they are perfection. I loved watching them both fall, because it brought out a different side in each of them. Jude is the CIA guy with a special set of skills, but he also can't look the other way when someone needs help. I love the way he is able to protect Cameron without making her feel helpless. And I love watching Cameron's walls fall as she begins to let Jude in.

Add a fantastic group of friends to their romance and so many laugh out loud moments, and you have an unputdownable (new word, just go with it) combination! This book really has it all. I loved seeing more of Derek and Emily from The Price of Scandal, and getting to know the rest of the Bluewater Billionaires a little bit better! While this series is made of standalones, I don't know how you could read one and not want to dive in with the others immediately!

I love Joe Arden, and he didn't disappoint with this one. Desiree Ketchum was new to me on this book, but she did fantastic as well. These two brought Jude and Cam to life perfectly. They brought all the emotions to life, and really became these characters! I wouldn't hesitate to listen to them again and again!

Jude and Cameron are so...hot!

Yes! I loved everything about this book. I had a few laughs, I had a few "WTF" moments, and I had a good ol' swoonfest. Jude and Cameron are just so freaking perfect for each other. They made me laugh. They made me happy.

And I did not miss that little Everly and Shepard Easter Egg that was thrown in there. Any fan will love seeing that piece of comedic gold!

I loved the narration as well. I think Joe and Desiree captured Jude and Cameron perfectly.

Very entertaining

I am enjoyed this. I was I'm unsure because obviously it's a bodyguard type a story and I had read in other reviews that they thought it was predictable I did not. I thought she did a very good job of who did it kind of thing. The narrators the female voice In the beginning I wasn't so thrilled. It just wasn't take charge enough you know this woman's a billionaire is billionaire she should be a take charge kind of woman in her voice and I just felt like it wasn't there she did an excellent job and pulled it off in the end. Joe's voice for the male character. Performance was spectacular I pictured a muscle bound agent in my head. Overall I think they did an awesome job Between the story and the narration it was worth the listen.
