Publisher's Summary

“Shh,” he whispered next to my ear. It wasn’t an urgent plea to be quiet. It was a command, delivered with a slight thrust of his hips. He was about to melt my La Perla thong right off me.

Cameron Whitbury is used to engineering her way out of any problem. But someone is after her, and she doesn’t know who or why. Throw in the threat of a sex scandal and the frustrating antics of the entitled son of her company’s founder, and she might be in over her head.

But sacrifice her privacy to an overprotective bodyguard? No thanks. She doesn’t need a six-foot-five, motorcycle-riding, square-jawed, hazel-eyed man-beast shadowing her every move.

Jude Ellis is ready to retire from the cloak and dagger stuff to live a normal life. He doesn’t need another client. Not even one with coppery-red hair and mile-long legs who looks hot AF in a sexy pair of heels.

To appease her worried friends, Cameron hires Jude as her bodyguard. And despite their feisty banter and their rampant - and totally inappropriate - sex fantasies, they’re both determined to keep it professional.

But as the danger to Cameron escalates, the heat simmering between them just might combust.

Author’s note: Big wall-of-man hero with a fierce (and growly) protective streak. Confident and snarky heroine. All the banter. Sex in a closet. And a daring rescue with a big, heart squishing HEA.

Beautiful, Bold Romance!

I loved Cameron and Jude's love story! The audio performance added texture to these characters. They came to life with vivid strokes of the author's words and the narrators' voices. The characters are endearing and bold. This romance has witty banter, sexual tension, and a bit of suspense. The story flows with ease, emotion, and intrigue. Fantastic read/listen!

Love love love!

This is the second book to the Bluewater Billionaires Series, but it is not necessary to read book one to enjoy this book. (But why wouldn't you want to, book one was great too!)

Cameron Whitbury is a billionaire aerospace mogul. She is a gorgeous geek who loves to take things apart and make them better. She lives in an eccentric little community that she created with her 3 friends, also billionaire women.

Jude Ellis is a former military/CIA agent who is a private security guard and problem solver. All he wants to do after finishing his last assignment is retire. But Jude's best friend Derek, also boyfriend to one of Cameron's besties, asks him to help with a little problem. Someone is trying to hurt/kill Cameron. Jude reluctantly agrees to help Cameron. Now can he keep her safe and keep his hands off her?

The banter between these two is humorous and steamy! Between the sex in the kitchen between the cook and trainer to the gardener acting like her daddy and demanding Jude bring her home before curfew, what else could go wrong?

The way these two interact and fall in love with each other is great. I just love that Claire writes about big guys like Jude who have a soft inside and are not afraid to let it show. I can't wait to read books 3 and 4!

great book, excellent narration

I am a fan of Claire Kingsley, and I have to admit that I read all of her books and buy all of her audio because they are always great. Her stories are well-developed, her main characters are driven and compassionate, and she fills her books with supporting characters, settings and situations that leave you longing for more.

Jude and Cam are a great couple. They are always real with each other, and their connection is beautiful to read.

Great characters - excellent narration!

I was hooked from the very beginning. These characters are not only interesting, but they are flawed in a way that makes them more real. Even though they are both bad-asses in their respective professions there is self doubt. We all wear masks. I really liked the window into dating for Jude. I like his style of confident hero who doesn't immediately resort to overall intimidating and violence. Cameron is strong, confident, and brilliant without being a giant bitch. Together they burn hot and it is a beautiful romance to experience! The suspense is also great, with the chasing, the mysterious messages, and ultimately an exciting rescue.

Narration: As always, Joe delivers a wonderful performance of this growly hero who isn't afraid to show his sweet side. The characters come through in his delivery in a way you just cannot experience outside of audible. This is my second book with Desiree, and I really enjoy her narration as well. Overall, really enjoyed!

Definitely worth a credit! This whole Bluewater Billionaires Romantic Comedy series is great so far, and I can't wait for more!

Narrator choice is so important.

The narrators can be the difference between liking and loathing an otherwise good story.

This one was....annoying.
Desiree Ketchum has this habit of reading the 'script' in sentences, full stops, and the exact same repetitive tone to each sentence. Narrators should act just a little, not just read.
And I know Joe Arden has a sexy voice, but his female voice is shocking. The females all sound like Tootsie. Thats why this is the last time I'll take a chance on him.
