Pippa Grant is always an insta-buy for me. Her stories are funny and heartfelt.
my only issue this time around is Zen. I am a supporter of the lgbtqia+ community. Zen's pronouns are they/them. which is incredibly confusing when listening. I think reading it *might* make it a little less so.. but Zen and someone else in a room and 'they' leave the room I think both of them left. then the other character starts talking and I'm confused because I thought both of them left so I have to back up the story and realize what actually happened. lol

Bonus Epilogue

The stories themselves are so cute but I absolutely adore the bonus epilogues of these books. They’re so cute!

Delightful Rom-com

This story is a terrific next step for characters we have begun to love in author Pippa Grant's THE WORST WEDDING DATE. The characters are truly unique, the situations are just goofy enough to laugh without cringing, there is enough steamy stuff to satisfy those who crave the love scenes, and the narration is first rate.
I loved it.

Perfect Enemies to Lovers

This novel continues the aftermath from the disastrous wedding in book 1, and I like it even more. The hero, Gray, and heroine, Sabrina, both have excellent development, but the minor characters consistently threaten to steal the show. I ADORE Zen, and if triplets Jack, Lucky, and Decker don’t get their own trilogy it will be a crime. Eagerly awaiting Emma’s story in book three.

Really enjoyed this one

🥰Enjoyment: This was honestly such a surprise hit for me! I assumed I would enjoy it “well enough”, but this was just the book I needed, right when I needed. From Sabrina’s sunshine personality to Gray’s attempts to be super vengeance man. I loved it.

📖 🎧 Writing &/or Audio Style: As far as Grant’s writing, I think she does a wonderful job weaving a hilarious endearing story while still addressing real flaws and hurts. I also really enjoyed the performance given by both narrators and felt they fit the characters they were acting.

👥 Characters & Relationships: This town has huge background cast of characters in this loving tight knit community. I will say I was occasionally overwhelmed by some of the names and background stories but I honestly would not have had it any other way.

⁉️Plot, Intrigue & Logic: I thought the plot was so interesting. This sweet sweet man that’s been burned one too many times sets out to exact his revenge but his big ole heart keeps coming out to play.

🏞️Atmosphere & Setting: I love ‘the Tooth’ and I CANNOT wait to return to this tight knit mountain town.

So funny, great story for Sabrina and Grey. Narrators were perfect! Bonus epilogue by Jason Clarke was spot on!

Cute Story

This story was super cute. Great start, great ending. I think it drug on a bit in the middle with all of the “I don’t want you” “I can’t be with you” back and forth.

The way that Grey finally got his peace from Chandler’s actions and his ex best friend’s actions was very poignant!

This was narrated by Jason Clarke who is a top fave of mine and Callie Dalton who has a lovely voice with a cute little lisp that is barely noticeable at times and super noticeable (but doesn’t deter from her performance) at others.

I really enjoyed them both and Jason NAILED the dog POV Epilogue!

Good characters Great ending

I enjoy listening to Jason Clarke and Callie Dalton narrate Grey and Sabrina. I'm hoping Emma gets the next book.

Loved this story

Another wonderful story from Pippa Grant. Her characters are so funny and sweet especially the non-human characters! They steal the show at times! Listening to this story be read by Jason Clarke and Callie Dalton was a joy. They brought each character to life with a different voice and inflection that was so unique! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

A Delightfully Wonderful Story & Listen🎧

I loved everything about this delightful small-town enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy, from Pippa Grant’s wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who brought it all to life from the pages to my ears. The two lead characters are amazing, the grump, Mr. Greyson “Grey” Cartwright, and the gossip, Sabrina Sullivan. The two met while in Hawaii to attend a destination wedding, a wedding that never took place. They hit it off and have a memorable one-night stand and Grey was smitten with her, but she ghosted him before he could get her number, heck they did not even exchange real names. That would not be the last they saw of each other, fate brings them back into each other’s lives, but this time he is no longer the fun and loving guy she spent the night with, but a serious grump. Grey, the new owner of the cafe, comes to Snaggletooth Creek with vengeance on his mind to get back at Chandler Sullivan. He was not expecting to see Sabrina again, never mind that she is the one running the cafe, even so, he is not letting her foil his plans. Except Sabrina is determined to protect the town’s cafe and will do whatever it takes to make that happen. I loved how everything played out in this book, the plot, world building, character growth and development are fantastic and the story has it all, drama, humor, a touch of angst, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The witty back-and-forth dialogue is brilliant and a shout out to my favorite canine, Jitter, a real scene stealer. Pippa Grant, thank you for another fabulous story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Pippa Grant cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Jason Clarke and Callie Dalton did an amazing job portraying the characters, giving each their own voice and personality, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. Clarke aced it as Grey, grasping every aspect of his personality, and Dalton did the same as Sabrina, her more sunny demeanor to his grumpy one. They sent the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor effortlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they capture all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers and versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Sadly a bit disappointed

I felt this started off great - fun premise, great banter, hot sexy times.

Then about 10 hours of the same over and over. They want each other but now they don't want to want each other.
Looks, glances, hating themselves and being snarky to each other. Feeling guilty they want each other.

I just felt like my wheels were spinning and we weren't getting anywhere. And this saddens me because I love everyone in this, the cast, the writer. It just didn't keep my attention.

Sabrina & Grey's story

This is the follow up to the excellent 'The Worst Wedding Date'. Although it can be listened to as a standalone, I would recommend listening to them in order, as the story arc does run through both.
This book is laugh out loud funny, and has all of the romance, spice and feelgood elements of all of Pippa's books.
I absolutely loved it, and will definitely listen again and again, just as I have done with the first book.
I am already excited to revisit these characters and listen to Emma's story, when Book 3 comes out.
Fantastic narration by both narrators all the way through, but special mention to Jason Clarke's narration of the bonus epilogue, which is a joy all of its own!! 🤣

Get ready for a treat!

I love Pippa Grant. She always can take me out of my book slump with her sense of humor and trail directly to my heart! This book is so good, it is one that definitely should no be missed! Sabrina is not one to indulge in a one night stand, but when in Hawaii, she sees the gorgeous Grey, she makes an exception. After all, she will never see him again. That is until he shows up, taking over her Mountain Cafe! And not only that, but she has told him all the details of the people in her town. That will teach her never to gossip again. But when she finds out why Grey is in town, trying to take down her cafe and turn it into a kombucha bar, she is willing to compromise. She is the master at finding things out and there must be another way for Grey to get what he wants out of the town. What these two find out is that there are goals and dreams they don't even realize they want! Talk about chemistry! These two have it in spades! And their banter! And the gossip! Small towns are the best for keeping secret until they are not! And Zen is such a great secondary character! And a dog! I loved this fast paced, enemies to lovers story. It's the perfect rainy day, weekend listen and definitely grab a copy when it's released!

And who better than Jason Clarke and Callie Dalton to bring this romcom to life? Clarke brings out all the bitterness and grumpiness that is Grey. He understands him so well, and it's easy to feel he conflict Grey has. Dalton becomes Sabrina in all of her glory. She is secret keeper until you cross her, and Dalton brings all the feels of betrayal, frustration and love as Sabrina deals with her man. This is the perfect team and a listen that should not be missed!

Jitterbug the star 🌟

Another amazing story from Pippa Grant. I loved Grey and Sabrina's story and thoroughly enjoyed visiting Snaggletooth Creek. The secondary cast of characters from Zen to the triplets and Mimi along with the group of locals that visit the café were so well described and quirky that I simply can't wait for the next book in this series!
