The One Who Loves You

Tickled Pink, Book 1

By: Pippa Grant

Narrated by: Savannah Peachwood, Sebastian York

From USA Today bestselling author Pippa Grant comes a fabulously sharp-witted romantic comedy about a socialite’s fall from elitist grace to backcountry purgatory - and her accidental tumble into love.

If the Upper East Side had an evil twin, it would be Tickled Pink, Wisconsin. This run-down, backwoods town isn’t worthy of the footprint of my Louboutins, never mind all of me.

But when my grandmother has a near-death experience and realizes we Lightlys can’t buy our way into heaven, she relocates the family to Tickled Pink to work on improving our souls. And that’s how I trade my heiress existence for gigantic bugs, dishwater coffee, and a cranky single dad named Teague Miller.

Teague spends his days fishing, raising his spunky teenager, and after an unfortunate incident involving cheese curds, living rent-free in my head. The one thing he and I can agree on is that I don’t belong here. He’s willing to help me escape - until the unexpected happens.

I kind of like him. I might even more than like him.

But am I ready to give up the life I adored for a man I love to hate?

Critic reviews

“Grant brings both passion and wit to this love story, with genuine characters, a charming exploration of Phoebe’s growth, and a setup that will put readers in mind of Schitt’s Creek. This is sure to put a smile on any romance lover’s face.”—Publishers Weekly (starred review)

What a weird book

I almost turned this book off a few times because it just seemed so ridiculous. Who moves into a high school to live? I kept on and I’m glad I did. There were a couple of big plot twists you don’t see coming. Definitely worth a listen!

Thank heavens for good narrators

Yowers!!! This was painful to sit thru, at times I listened to another book just for a break.
Ms. Peachwood and Mr. York were good in their roles but unfortunately that couldn't help a slooowww story.
Not one of Pippa Grant's better stories.

Tickle Me Happy!

Loved this story and the narration was first class! I especially enjoyed Savanah’s delivery and her mastery of the different characters. Pippa does it again and Oh my Oprah I thoroughly enjoyed this foray into small town Wisconsin!

Wow! So much more than I expected.

I didn’t expect to enjoy this so much. The emotional growth arc is spectacular and real. The characters over the top, the humor awesome, and so many unexpected developments. Loved it!

Just OK

When there were back and forth conversations it was difficult to tell who was talking. Some of it made little sense. They had to go to the town. Pretend they were poor, yet could buy things?
