Story
As high achievers, we’ve been conditioned to believe that the path to success is paved with relentless work. That if we want to overachieve, we have to overexert, overthink, and overdo. That if we aren’t perpetually exhausted, we’re not doing enough. But lately, working hard is more exhausting than ever. And the more depleted we get, the more effort it takes to make progress. Stuck in an endless loop of “Zoom, eat, sleep, repeat”, we’re often working twice as hard to achieve half as much.

Why is it so hard to make lasting changes in our companies, in our communities, and in our own lives? The primary obstacle is a conflict that's built into our brains, say Chip and Dan Heath, authors of the critically acclaimed best seller Made to Stick. Psychologists have discovered that our minds are ruled by two different systems - the rational mind and the emotional mind - that compete for control. The rational mind wants a great beach body; the emotional mind wants that Oreo cookie.

Acuff knows the reason why many writers' novels go unfinished - it's the same reason why gyms are filled in the first week of January and empty by the end of the month and why people stop learning a new language once they get past the easy parts. It's not just that people lose momentum or get distracted. People give up on projects when they fail to live up to their own high expectations and decide that if they can't do something perfectly, they won't do it at all. If you're going to finish, you have to kill perfectionism.

What you'll find here is practical magic: unique knowledge, drawn from a variety of sciences, revealing what charisma really is and how it works. You'll get both the insights and the techniques you need to apply this knowledge. The world will become your lab, and every person you meet, a chance to experiment.

An little hidden gem! Really useful!
Any additional comments?
Fantastic book - I was a little dubious at the start, seeing as how cheap it is, but this is highly enjoyable and has helped me a heap with my procrastination problems. It was pretty short to listen to which was actually a positive thing as it didn’t contain the usual chaff and nonsense you find in these books.
Excellent and clear to see why it has so many great reviews!
Thanks 5/5

Make it happen!
Would you consider the audio edition of How to Stop Procrastination & Get More Done in Less Time! to be better than the print version?
Yes definitely! The narrator was able to encapsulate the feeling of doing. He really helped me get motivated to get my work done and be more free.
What other book might you compare How to Stop Procrastination & Get More Done in Less Time! to and why?
I would compare this to previous books I've read in the past like "Get it done!" and "The art of doing". Both had very similar concepts.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I had to listen to this multiple times and throughout the day. It's not something you can listen to in one setting because the author gives you specific tasks to accomplish throughout your day. Such tasks include making lists, sticking to your goals, making specific long term and short term goals, and etc. This is a book you want to consume slowly in order to make sure you are acting upon each step and really understanding each chapter.
Any additional comments?
This is a must read book. This was a great book because it helped me to get moving. Getting started is always a tough decision for me so this book was recommended by my friends. I am really thankful to them because it helped me break up my day into smaller, doable activities. I was not overwhelmed by the amount of tasks at hand.
This book especially helped me in my freelancing career and my regular career at work. By listening to the book and applying the principles and actionable steps I was able to get promoted and increase customer satisfaction in my freelancing career. The author shared real life advice so he was sympathetic and cared for the reader.
This book is fit for anybody who is a procrastinator. It will really provide assistance. I HIGHLY recommend this book. It will change your life! I already recommended this book to my friends and family. They can't stop talking about it!

Extremely Motivational, Practical and Useful
It's like he was speaking directly to me! I have read a TON of books about my procrastination but this one was different because it gave me some REAL LIFE TIPS on how I can manage my life. It was like it was from MYYY point of view, not just some therapist telling me what to do and barking orders at me.
The narrator for this has a nice voice too. I like it when they have the smooth voices.

Outstanding Audio book, Just what I needed
What made the experience of listening to How to Stop Procrastination & Get More Done in Less Time! the most enjoyable?
This book has so many good qualities. Among those I like most is the way the material in are presented. It is presented in a organized manner. Material is easy to understand and very clear.
What other book might you compare How to Stop Procrastination & Get More Done in Less Time! to and why?
We can compare this book with the book 'The One Thing' by Gary Keller. In that book it teaches us to manage time for things that matters most in our life. In 'How to Stop Procrastination & Get More Done in Less Time!' also we learn the same thing. But I feel we learn more from this audio book.
What does Christian Erickson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The way he narrates bring something to the table that cannot be described by the words. He talks to our heart. When we listen to him we get the motivation automatically to follow his guidelines. It's because of the way he talk. You can't get that experience by just reading the book yourself.
What did you learn from How to Stop Procrastination & Get More Done in Less Time! that you would use in your daily life?
There are so many things I could use from this book in my daily life. I'm usually a sensitive person who is very sensitive to small things. I did both laughing and crying while listening to it. Reason for that was most of the time book reminded me of my own life so I made comparison of what I did and what I should have done. So it brought up both types of feelings. But all the feeling are in favor of me. I can say that tears were happy tears.
Any additional comments?
I recommend this book to everyone who are looking to manage their time in a better way and want to have real experience on what you should do with your time. Time is important to every human being. So everybody should read the book.

"THIS BOOK IS SIMPLY AMAZING, I am glad I have it"
Would you consider the audio edition of How to Stop Procrastination & Get More Done in Less Time! to be better than the print version?
Yes, absolutely, I would also love to have the print version of this book
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The overall concept of this book is spectacular. Every moment in the book is really an exciting one. I have listened to this audio book over and over again as I find new tasks to achieve and also apply to my day-to-day activities. This book has really been a blessing to my life. I have really learned how to manage my time and avoid procrastinating in the possible best ways I can. Thank you for this Graham.
Any additional comments?
The 2 hours plus i spent listening to this audio book has turned around my life. I have come to understand that everyone procrastinates, no matter how disciplined one might be. I have also learned techniques to manage my time perfectly well and ensure that procrastination is very much avoided.
This book is written in such a friendly manner and I don't feel terrible about myself in some places where I have shortcomings as the book helps to correct in such a calm and friendly manner. I have included this audio in my list of motivationals to constantly put me on the right track.
I definitely would even rate this book 100% as it definitely has made positive impacts and changes in my life.

Great tips!
Loved the strategies laid out in this book! I didn't care for the performance. "Subsequently" was pronounced incorrectly multiple times and the prosody of his voice was distracting. It seemed to be poorly edited as well as there were NO pauses between chapters or sections which was very jarring. A person needs that transition time to prepare for a new topic! But since it was a short listen it was manageable and it was still a good book!
