Helped in a time of need.

Losing something always brings up different emotions, and we all deal with it in different ways. This book will guide you through your own journey and help you process your feelings during grief. My favorite part was the meditations that specifically focused on grieving. The narrator also has an excellent voice for the material- a joy to listen to.

Learning to cope with grief and loss is so crucial, you need to connect with yourself and take that first step to healing to overcome your struggles and endure new challenges. This book helps you with just that by giving guidelines to process your emotions well that are very supportive. Excellent resource to handling a grieving process and finding comfort. Confronting grief

As a relatively young widow, grief was something that was foreign to me. Grief is truly an odd thing. Even though it's been 6 years for me, sometime out of nowhere, it just hits me. Again. This book was awesome in helping me really confront my grief. The practical steps within are helpful and timely. My grief was complicated and I was glad to hear that the author addressed this as well. Life is full of loss but this book is a treasure in helping in recovery. Highly recommend this.

Very Supportive Approach

I appreciated the author's upfront acknowledgement that there are no quick fixes to grief, and that it can be a long process to recovery.
This is a great general guide to grief recovery, and is more of a roadmap with a lot of room for individual experiences.
I would recommend this to anyone else looking for all the small things they can to do, so they can start getting their life back and begin healing.

Great Value

I’m the first to admit I do not handle grief with any kind of grace. It gave me so much anxiety I wanted to throw up. After searching for ways to get over these feelings a I knew a death in the family was coming. I found this book and boy am I grateful. It prepared me for my own feelings as well as my family members who needed me to be strong for them. Great read.
