Publisher's summary

"Your imagination is your preview of life's coming attractions." (Albert Einstein)

The law of attraction is based on the idea that everything in the universe has a polarity, meaning that everything - from the food you eat to the people you talk to the things you say to the things you think - contains either a positive or a negative kind of energy. Notice that being with people who complain or rant a lot tends to make you feel bad, even though you're not exactly experiencing what they're going through - that's the law of attraction working its magic. When you focus on negative stuff, then more negative stuff will happen to you. On the other hand, when you focus on positive stuff, then more positive stuff will happen to you.

Fortunately, there is a way to manipulate the law of attraction and make it work for you: by changing your beliefs, using the power of positive affirmation. Positive affirmations give you a fresh pair of eyes to see the world and therefore give you courage to achieve a lot of things you never knew were possible.

Exactly What I Was Looking For

I was looking for a short (under one hour) affirmation meditation to listen to every day to get me back into the habit of speaking affirmations and declarations over my life.

This is just one area of life that I will focus on, but I appreciated how specific the actual affirmations were in this audiobook.

I also appreciated that the affirmations are at the beginning and that there wasn’t a ton of language / science / reasoning I had to listen to first; yet it was really nice to have that critical thinking piece summarized at the end as an optional review piece.

The only thing I wish was available would be this audiobook read by a female voice and then also translated into Spanish. Great audiobook!

Helpful especially when tailored for me

I was looking for something to help keep me focused on some personal goals. This was the first reading I listened to. I found the lessons on how to use affirmations in the later chapters helpful then used those insights to modify the list of affirmations to fit me more personally - in language and imagery. I’m excited to see what happens as a result.

this works, better the more you listen

it's tough to believe the 1st time you listen. the more you listen, the more often you listen, the more it becomes your own Scioto, becomes how you describe yourself to yourself & to others.

Most affirmations are to long and complicated

Most of the affirmations are not relatable to the average person due to the length and or words used in them.

Didn’t deliver

This audio did not motivate me to exercise. The affirmations were all over the place. Sometimes the author used I am statements and sometimes he did not. I want a refund.

Not worth the time

Some of the affirmations are ok. But… when it said “I workout so I can be a couch potato. I work out so I can munch on that burger”
After hearings those it lost all credibility.

Needs more I am statements

Not enough 'I am" statements. One of the great benefits of listing to affirmations is in re-framing self identity, nurture the positive within the subconscious, and mold a new inner voice. This particular audiobook is not strong enough to be effective. The statements were all over the place. As it is a title included with subscription, you could listen to it in order to write down the helpful statements and create your own list of affirmations. The narrator is quite pleasant and the music is not distracting.

Some lines are unrelated or stupid

When I paid for this I paid for exercise motivation. A line such as “I enjoy dancing” is unhelpful and detrimental
I “exercise an hour a day” also not what I signed up for! What if purchased this to get myself to exercise 30 mins? Such lines mess up brains reception of other suggestions
