We, humans, are generally known to have inherent greed which makes us constantly want to grab things and have more of everything, even many which we do not have any use of it. We are generally in the mindset that the more things we can afford, the merrier our lives would become.

Everybody wants to be among the first people to own the next big thing.

I showed minimalism to so many people in my life and I realized that the changing of their mindset is not easy at all.

That's why I wrote this guide.

This audiobook improves my life

I purchased this audiobook after watching their documentary. The experience of learning about their philosophies came at a time in my life when I have been feeling very lost and empty, feeling that I need to make some major changes. The minimalist philosophy was exactly what I needed and I am excited about the prospect of moving forward from here to improve my life & the lives of others!!

Great book..

Great book. Everyone has attachments to their things. This book helps identify your tendencies and then helps you work through it according to your own parti ulnar style and comfort zone. Great book. Now I just have to DO IT.

I’ve always considered myself pretty..

I’ve always considered myself pretty minimalist and organized. However, upon understanding my archetype is ‘connected’ I realize the majority of
sentimental items I keep — both at home and in my work office — are truly looked at by me once or twice, and then, most are saved in drawers, cabinets, or plastic bins. I’ve begun the New Year with taking 4 bags full of donations to Salvation Army — feels so freeing and helps me to really ‘see’ what I love about my home so much. Thank you Cary and Kyle for articulating in your book with such understanding and acceptance. I just bought more copies of your book for several of my friends!

Save your money!

I've read numerous books on a simple lifestyle and this is one of the very best. The authors know what they are talking about. Under the bed storage collects dust and dust mites. Closet storage units hide unused clutter And I've helped clean enough storage sheds to know the worthless junk they contain. Save your money. Give the usable items away, discard the rest. I totally agree that there should be a place for everything and everything should be in its proper place. That way you'll know where it is and rarely have to hunt or an item when you need it.The key to making this work is putting items in their proper place as soon as you are finished using them. The book is full of really practical decluttering suggestions. Also excellent ideas on the importance of decluttering. It inspired another round of decluttering.

Very helpful for relationships

The authors encourage the use of their website minimalist.com a lot in the audiobook. The steps you have to do seem easy meaningful enough to start overwhelming.
