Publisher's summary

A masterclass led by internationally recognized leadership expert John C. Maxwell revealing the 11 shifts you should make over the course of you career to keep innovating, improving, and influencing others to the highest levels of success in today’s unprecedented business climate.

Bonus Content: Hear number one New York Times best-selling author Rachel Hollis, Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastion, and motivational speaker and former NFL player Trent Shelton share their most significant “leadershifts” with John.

Change happens so rapidly today that leaders must be nimble and ready to adapt. Otherwise, they won't survive. International leadership expert John Maxwell says, the key is to learn how to “leadershift.”

In Leadershift, John C. Maxwell helps listeners make leadership changes that will positively enhance their organizational and personal growth. He does this by sharing the 11 shifts he made over the course of his long and successful leadership career. Each shift changed his trajectory and set him up for new and exciting achievements, strengthening and sustaining his leadership abilities and making him the admired leadership expert he is today.

Among those leadershifts are “the Adaptive Shift from Plan A to Option A,” “the Production Shift from Ladder Climbing to Ladder Building,” and “the Influence Shift from Positional Authority to Moral Authority.” Maxwell gives specific guidance about how to make these shifts in their own lives. Each one requires them to change the way they think, act, and ultimately lead so they can be successful in a world that never remains the same.

It’s okay to adapt.

I appreciate that John Maxwell writes this book to encourage adaptation to the life lesson that we all encounter. We will all go through a shift and need to know that it is okay. Dr. Maxwell’s book gives the okay!

Maybe His Best Book

I’ve read a lot of John Maxwell’s books, though this maybe his best book yet. In today’s business climate, industries are changing and leaders must be on their toes and shifting. John takes his leadership knowledge and helps leaders of all shapes and sizes to learn how to shift. Some shifts will happen easily, some may never happen, but he gives great examples and insight. This will be a book that I listen to more than once.

Such a great listen...

Whether you’re leading a business or leading yourself, do yourself a favor and listen to this book. It’ll probably be one you can’t get enough of. You won’t make all the shifts after just one read but even if you only make one shift, you’re heading in the right direction.

Very transformative!

John Maxwell never fails to disappoint. His delivery of Leadershift helps bring perspective to those who are stuck in old leadership styles and roles. With a new growing culture also comes a need for new styles of leadership to deal with that culture.

If you only read one leadership book...

This book is an amazing compilation of what one of the most talented and experienced leaders learned through his 70 + years. I had the pleasure of hearing John Maxwell speak years ago, and have read two of his previous books. It just keeps getting better and better. This book describes the evolution of a leader and I've never read anything quite like this. It's fascinating to hear him describe the changes and growth he realized over the years, and it is a great inspiration to develop into an extraordinary leader. After hearing this book I ordered 12 hard cover copies to go through with my management team.
