excellent advice but not just for women

This audiobook contains excellent advice on how to change your mindset, which is critical to achieving long term weight loss. Fad diets are unsustainable and sometimes unhealthy. This approach deals with the root causes of overeating and with the associated emotions. The guided meditations, affirmations and relaxation techniques helps to shape the mind, ease the emotions and help one to make better food and portion choices. It also helps to motivate the listener to find pleasure in physical activity. While titled 'for women' most of the principles are equally applicable to men. This is good stuff!

Effective with minimal effort

Well, it's getting to be that time of year when we all start thinking about our New Year's resolutions and there's a lot of that struggle with weight and think every year we will get our health under control. For me, I have a year where I have poured my heart and soul into my new business while still working a full-time day job and a lot of family stressors. So, I have sat a lot and am just gaining more and more weight and feeling more and more out of shape. I knew that trying to get to the gym and work out was not the first step I wanted to take. I wanted to be able to change some eating habits and understand why I eat the way I do and why I am not willing to change my habits.

What's been nice is since listening to this book, I feel more positive about making these changes. As I go to grab food or plan dinner, there's like a little voice guiding me to make a better choice. One of the biggest changes I have made is giving up my sugary drinks and moving over to water. Right away, my body felt better and almost like it appreciated me more. I found that I am not as sluggish I have had clearer thoughts and I am sleeping better. It's amazing what some little changes can do for you.

I am grateful for this book because the author doesn't make you feel bad for the situation you are in. They are compassionate and it's like listening to a friend who is trying to give you guidance. The affirmations are amazing!

A Positive Mindset Gives Rewards!

This book does not focus on dieting but rather on a healthy lifestyle. Not eating emotionally but only when you are hungry. It takes you into self-hypnosis and there are plenty of affirmations that you can tell yourself while in that state. And meditation is given to curb your appetite.

I loved the affirmations

I liked this book because it is helpful for my weight loss change of habits. The affirmations are very pleasant to repeat at night when getting ready to sleep! I feel better when is time to eat and choose my food, and now I'm doing exercises 3 times a week, and I feel and see my body different, it is important to be constant and for sure don't giving up!
