Absolutely Amazing Public Speaking Lessons

I've read quite a handful of books on the subject of public speaking and giving presentations and this book is by far my favorite. I love it so much that I have both the audible and hardcover versions. I plan on reading this many times over in my hopes to master my speaking skills. There are many books on the subject and I'm a very particular reader. If your aim is to becoming great in front of audiences I highly recommend reading and listening to this one over and over.

A must for presenters

This is an excellent audio book that keeps up your interest all through it, as you compare what you do with what Steve Jobs did to capture and retain attention as well as exceed expectations of his listeners.
Simple but great ideas come up all through the book that will make you a better presenter.

Presentation 101

This is a good break down of the elements of a good presentation, using Steve Jobs various presentations to illustrate the points. There are no real 'secrets' here; you can find them in any book on how to give a good presentation, however what carries this book (audio) and makes it engaging is using examples from Jobs' presentations and his life to illustrate the main points. If you are looking for inspiration, you may not find it, but if you are looking for the meat and potatos of presentations, presentation 101 more or less, but delivered using examples from a master presenter, then this will provide a good overview. Don't forget the main take-home, though, "Practice!"

Absolutely a goldmine of a book. Necessary and unforgettable points about public speaking! Definitely worth it!

What made the experience of listening to The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs the most enjoyable?

So I'll start off this review with a quick glimpse at our table of contents. Throughout this review we'll revisit.... you get the point. Most presentations are death. This book does an excellent job of giving you fresh alternative thinking to what most have us have either been taught in business presentations or taught ourselves. Like all books you'll get out of it as much as you put into it. But the information contained in the book helps you understand why great presenters like Steve Jobs and Nancy Duarte do what they do and how it is far more effective. What I liked the most is how so much of it is grounded in science. I've already bought copies of this book for my direct reports.

Science meets practical, intuitive reasoning.

More than anything it reminded me of the need to start from the ground up, literally putting words on paper per page before doing the design writing.

Very detailed and informative, yet practical. A definite must read for all aspiring leaders. The author does an amazing job humanizing an iconic figure and making world class leadership feel attainable.
