Very enlightening book but no website as mentioned

I just finished listening to this book and found it very enlightening and relevant to my situation. I would love to access the additional resources (worksheets, detailed lessons) mentioned in the book. But the website that was given, www.thepositiverelationship.com cannot be reached.

Fine overview-lacking depth

Great lists. Good way to give yourself a self-assessment on emotional availability and get a list of possible reasons why. Curious where to go now besides a counselor to do more learning.

So impressed!!!

Loved, loved loved it! I want more. She gets to the heart of the matter so well. I found myself having many light bulb moments. Traits that are so often (wrongly, I think) linked to Narcissistic Personality Disorder are well explained and make more sense to me being associated with emotional unavailability. Well done - hope to see more of this author in the near future.

Knew something was wrong

In a 21 year marriage that after 3 years it was like a light went off.
For the next 18 years wondered why the "relationship" was the way it was.
I for sure contributed my fair share of dysfunction.
Was my kids who woke me up. They said no matter what you do it will never change.
This book was a Godsend. Now I will begin the difficult and painful path towards healing.

So helpful!

This book really helped me look at my own behaviors and identify others as emotionally unavailable. I’ll continue to listen to this book over the years to get better at healing certain aspects I struggle with. How am I just learning about this subject in my mid 30’s?!

It's a keeper

Dry narration, but 100% worth the listen. Many helpful tools & I'm sure I'll listen to it again

First book to really nail a lot of my behaviors.

One of the few self help books where I walked away seeing myself from a brand new perspective, while also being weirdly accurate. A lot to take in. Very happy that I read this - likely could have saved some past relationships if I read it sooner.

Good information, robotic delivery.

The contact for this audiobook is quite good. However, I found it hard to take in due to the narrator sounding like a robot.

This book describes bad habits I formed over a lifetime.

After allowing an amazing relationship too become too scary to continue, I perpetrated behaviors that encouraged conflict which gave me justification for why I should end it. Unfortunately, after the dust settled and it was over, only then did I finally understand it was my own baggage that had created most of the issues.

Instead of likely losing another relationship to the same behavior, I needed to find a way out of the cycle.

This book (audio) walked me through many of my behaviors and gave me the insight to recognize what I specifically needed to change.

It was both important to me that I never torture another person with my lack of availability after they were willing to emotionally invest in me.
