Publisher's summary

From USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author Meghan Quinn comes the much anticipated sequel to the best-selling royal romance, Royally Not Ready. Full of sweltering heat, suspense, and mystery, Quinn surprises you with some twists and turns while also delivering a perfect happily ever after.

I have two responsibilities as the new heir to the throne:

  1. Get married.
  2. Have babies.

Sure, becoming queen one day is part of those new responsibilities, but as long as King Theo is in charge, I don't have to add a coronation to my list.

That's why I find myself in the throes of wedding planning, pre-wedding classes with my broody, overprotective fiancé, and counting down the days until we can finally say I do.

But with every day we grow closer to our wedding, we seem to grow apart.

Our commonalities are tested. Our faith in each other is questioned. And our safety is threatened. The only thing working? The command he has over me in the bedroom.

I keep telling myself, it’ll all work out. We just need to make it to the wedding day. Except, when the day finally comes, everything falls apart.

We might have made it through the last few months together, but now I'm not sure we're going to make it out of this alive.

Great Sequel

This is a sequel to the Royally Not Ready book about Lily and Keller. Now they are about to be married and someone is bound and determined that the wedding won't take place. There's more suspense in this sequel and I liked it. I kept trying to figure out who was trying to keep Lily from the throne. I enjoyed listening to Samantha Brentmoor, John Hartley, and James Joseph narrate the book. This is a wonderful story.

One where the sequel is better than the first! Duet 👍🏼 NO SPOILERS

I was hesitant to buy this book after listening to the first. While I liked the first, something lacked for me. I’m so glad I took a chance because I liked this one so much more!
The narrators do a great job doing so many voices with enough difference to be able to identify each character!

This is performed in duet, where the male narrator does all the male parts and the female narrator does all the female parts. That is my FAVORITE kind of narration, feels more believable.

There’s definitely some steaminess, as is the case with most all Megan Quinn novels. If graphic depictions are not for you, this might be a skip.

It seems like Megan Quinn never misses!

Emotional Roller coaster

I love Keller and Lily. And man did this do the stress of wedding planning justice. This was deeper than her romcoms and I loved it. The ups and downs of this book had me in my feelings.

And man did the narrators do a beautiful job. I read the first one so it didn’t bother me at all that it was a different female narrator. I thought she was perfect. And the full cast effect always makes me happy.

Real life with the royals!

4.5 out of 5 stars!

I thought Lilly and Keller's story was complete, but this second book shows the other side to the HEA, the everyday struggles, the hardships that come with being a couple as well as all the royal requirements. According to royal tradition, the couple had to be apart before the big wedding. The push and pull of the different activities they were made to do made Lilly and Keller feel like their relationship was more a sham than love. This book was a bit darker than most of the author's books. But the author did a fantastic job of diving into the darker realm. Lilly and Keller struggled physically, mentally, and emotionally throughout the story. After all that turmoil, they get their HEA and all is good in the royal realm.

Samanthan Brentmoor and John Hartley were wonderful voices for Lilly and Keller. I felt the physical, mental, and emotional turmoil through their voices. The addition of James Joseph's voice was great as well.

I received an advance copy of this audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.

Stunning conclusion

...and here I thought Royally Not Ready (part 1 of Lily & Keller's story) had me ALL up in my feelings. Royally in Trouble took me on a roller coaster with my emotions once again! This book almost destroyed me…in the best possible way and I. LOVED. EVERY. SINGLE. MINUTE. This story...it's EVERYTHING! It's heartbreak and healing. It's the shattering of the soul and the strength to soar. A story of hope, heartbreak, heroism, and second chances at life and love, this book is smartly and soulfully written. I can’t recommend this book (which is the sequel to Royally Not Ready) enough!!

Samantha Brentmoor, John Harley, James Joseph do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character.

Royal Ever After

Royally In Trouble is GRIDDY and BREATHTAKING. Kellar and Lily's love story picks up from Rovally Not Ready and their engagement. Funny, heart wrenching things happen on the way to 'I do'. Same steamy connection with these two betrothed, inseparable souls with just the right amount of lighthearted dialogue. Meaghan Quinn explores the layers of these characters and not just their physical heat. Make no mistake the heat is there too! These fated soulmates get their HEA and supply each other with a life of real, scorching love.

Loved this sequel!

Meghan Quinn is an auto-buy author for me so naturally I was excited to read more about Lily and Keller! This book had all the feels! I enjoyed the story line, although some parts were sad and just made my heart heavy. Of course there’s a HEA, eventually! The book is long but I think it’s necessary to see the characters growth!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book!! ♥️♥️

Meghan outdid her self with this book! Im used to her books being, sweet, funny, sexy... but this one has EVERYTHING, romance, suspense, pain, dirty talk o8 and so much more. Meghan did an outstanding job on giving us the HEA that Lily and Keller deserve. It was a rollercoaster of emotions but so worth it at the end.
I feel like the ending was bit too rushed and could had elaborated a bit more; however, believe she said she's doing the extended epilogue, so I hope this give us a much needing closure.
Samantha Brentmoor and John Hartley did such an amazing job narrating this book, and the duo narration made it that much better.
Overall, I love this story, for sure my number 2 favorite Meghan Quinn book.

5 She’s Shown Him What It’s Like to Live Stars!

I knew that we were going to be in for a wild ride with the conclusion of Keller and Lilly’s story, but I seriously didn’t expect all the twists and turns it took. I was very nearly on the edge of my seat the closer I got to the end of the book… all the secrets that are revealed and the machinations of those that are against everything Keller and Lilly had me fearing for them. What added to my excitement of this book was getting to listen to it with the phenomenal narration of Samantha Brentmoor and John Hartley. These two are a couple of my favorite narrators and they truly brought this story to life for me.

Keller and Lilly are getting ready for their wedding and unfortunately there are some that are very unhappy with not only how much attention they’re getting but what their roles are in ruling Torskethorpe which drives the action packed chapters leading to some shocking revelations. What didn’t falter is the love Keller and Lilly have for each other. There are some very angst filled moments and conversations that tugged at my heart. In between some of the more tense moments of this book are their sexy times and holy wowza… talk about sizzling chemistry… I think this book takes the hotness up about ten levels!

As I was glued not only to my device but my earbuds as well, there was no chance I was stopping no matter how late it was getting because I needed to finish this book. It’s a wild ride at the end! I was on tenterhooks for at least the last 4 chapters and the Epilogue!! I for one would love to visit Torskethorpe again in the future!
