Publisher's summary

From USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author Meghan Quinn, and narrated in duet by Erin Mallon and Connor Crais with a full cast including Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, JF Harding, and Kelsey Navarro, comes a new roommates to lovers, standalone sports romance featuring the hockey men you can’t get enough of. This steamy, one bed romantic comedy will bring all the laughs while making your cheeks blush at the same time. Sometimes the quietest are the most . . . vocal . . .

Word to the wise, never become roommates with a girl you’ve been pining over for the better part of a year.

You're probably wondering why I would do such a thing? Well, I didn’t.

It was my teammates.

The moment they found out Blakely White was single, they took it upon themselves to play cupid and instruct me on how I should win her over.

Don't wear a shirt around her.

Make her dinner.

Lightly touch her shoulder when you say goodbye.

I'm so flustered, so overwhelmed, so madly in love with this woman who barely notices me, that I lose control of the situation and make one huge mistake: I offer to be her fake date for a wedding so she can make her ex jealous.

That means, for one whole night I get a free pass with her. I get to hold her, dance with her, kiss her…stare at her from across the room like she’s my entire world because she has been for months now.

But when the night comes to an end, I’m faced with two options: bring her back to my bedroom and show her how I really feel, or let her walk away, succumbing to the fact that I very well might not be her type.

I'm Not Crying. You're Crying

I love the story of Halsey and Blakely. The duet style with a cast of characters narrated by some the most amazing narrators was great. Though I only read the first book awhile ago I remembered all of the characters on the hockey team. I rmembered Halsey from the first book and him having already lost a member of his family. He was such cinnamon roll when it came to Blakely. Blakely was smart and she was so amazing, sweet and understanding with him. I cried during part of this book because I felt Halsey's grief hard. The love he has with Blakely and the loving found family he has in his team mates warms my heart. Great book and audiobook! It was so worth it!

Unforgettable Hockey Romance

A Book from Meghan is always a trip into a world that will make you laugh, cry, and believe in Love.
Standalone with no Cliffhangers.
Blakely needs a place to stay while her apartment gets repaired, she got so much more then a roommate.
Halsey fell for her the first time he saw her. It's been over a year and now is his chance.
Frozen Fellas assemble! 😂 The text conversations in this book are hilarious.
Halsey has her move in with him so he can slowly win her over.
Lots of laughs with a touch of crying, and now I find myself wanting to buy a Bonsai tree.
The multiple narrators was an amazing touch and executed perfectly.

Best one yet

Wow. This book takes you on a journey. The humor had me laughing aloud, but there’s a strong emotional story here too that had me weeping. The ending felt a little rushed but the story and characters were so engaging that I really enjoyed this book. I think it’s the best of the Vancouver Agitators so far because of how the author uses the characters from previous books cumulatively.

The Perfect Story with the Perfect Narrators.

I am not sure I will have the words for how much I loved this book. First I need to shout out how amazing the narrators were. Erin Mallon has been a favorite of mine for many years as has Jason Clarke and Teddy Hamilton. JF Harding is absolutely growing on me and I am loving his work that I have heard lately. Kelsey Navarro-Foster is new for me and I loved her. But for me the complete standout for this full cast audio is CONNOR CRAIS. This man blew me away with his performance and I am not sure I will ever get over this book.

Prior to this book, Untying the Knot was my top favorite Meghan Quinn audiobook. I will say that I have loved all her books, some a bit more than others. But now HNMT is my #1 MQ story. I have no idea how she will top this book but it will be fun to see her try.

I loved Blakely and Halsey's story so much. I think I loved it so much because Halsey fell first and fell hard. He had an immediate crush on Blakely from the moment they met...then he found out she had a boyfriend. Then a year later Blakely is single and is in need of a place to stay as her apartment has some water damage/issues. With the help of his teammates/friends, it is suggested that Blakely stay with Halsey since he has the room.

Too bad for Halsey that he's just not Blakely's type...or so she thinks. What starts off as friends/roommates turns into the "only one bed" trope we know and love. The more time Blakely spends with Halsey, the more she sees the real Halsey. Pretty soon one bed is all that they will need.

I loved seeing Halsey find his person. With the way his family treated him after his brother passed, he was just not the same guy. Blakely helped pull the old Halsey out of his self-induced shell, where he could truly be happy again. Halsey absolutely deserved to be as happy as possible and Blakely made that happen.

There were so many times I laughed out loud while listening to this story and I couldn't love it more. Teddy Hamilton's portrayal of Posey was absolute perfection. And as I have already said, Connor stole the show for me. I really need more Connor for future MQ books. I know he has narrated a few but I NEED MORE!!!!
